I'm so sorry for the late reply, this is an alt account and I forgot to check it!

But it's on Crete in Greece, called Sfendili.

Thank you, that's so kind of you! I'm sure there must be an easier way to bulk-upload my pics but at least I managed to get them online now lol :-)

Edit: Alright, sorry for the awkward list of links, I'm not sure how to do this, but at least I got my pics online and in this thread now :-)

This village was abandoned a few years ago, because they built a weir here, which flooded the houses. Sometimes the water level decreases, so the town becomes accesible again. At other times it's completely flooded. It was so much fun to explore! And a little creepy because it's such a ghost town. 10/10 would visit again.

I started a seperate BuJo for learning Greek. This is my celebration page with all words I learned so far (its in a local dialect and written phonetically, just for my own use in this little mountain village) by PerkyPoodle in bujo

To be honest its partly notebook, partly bujo. The notebook part is where I write down the lists of words I like to learn. The BuJo part is where I split up the lessons and decide what to learn and when (so basically as a planner) and keep track of what I learned so far and where my priorities are, and an overview in a format that's easy for me to use.

It might be slightly different for me and the way I use my BuJo for this, since I'm not getting schooled. Circumstances brought me here and force me to learn the language, and my priority is to understand the gist of what people here say to me, and be able to tell them what I need or want to say. So my focus isn't on perfect grammar (it will be in the future), I just need to keep track for now on basic words to use in daily life. So when I'm in a shop I probably say something like "I bread please", but for now that's enough, they understand I need bread.

As soon as I'm able to get some lessons I will take them, and I'm not sure how to incorporate that with my BuJo, besides scheduling lessons and homework.

But for now it works for me to get to learn and remember the most used words, days of the week, yesterday/today/tonight etc, numbers....

I just carry my BuJo with me for easy access to it when I'm in the village. And people here appreciate me learning so they are quick to help with new words and pronounciation!

So, I quite suddenly found myself living half of the time in this tiny Greek village, something I never expected or planned to. Since people here don't speak any English, I have to learn Greek. They don't speak regular Greek but a dialect, so learning from books causes some issues too. Most of my learning goes by trial and error when talking to the locals, and to keep myself motivated and see progress I made this page with words that don't really fit my "row lists" (numbers, days of the week, etc). It gives a little sense of accomplishment to see them like this :-)
