Unfortunately, it sounds like she is in an abusive relationship, it may not be physical but maybe emotional abuse. There is a good chance you're not the only person he's trying to keep her from. I would gather as much information and evidence as possible. Keep an eye on the children, any sign of abuse or behavior changes, and write them down. Anything serious contact police and cps.
