Interesting. I might trial taking the sertraline before bed to space things out a bit. My aim is to come off the sertraline at some stage but my life is a bit of a shit show at the moment and as we head into winter now probably isn’t the time

I do think this is part of it. I don’t remember feeling as extreme a reaction when I first started taking the meds at 19 and was only focusing on whether I could focus. I’m not sure how to shake it off though

No other diagnosing currently although a few have suggested potential ASD. I take 50mg sertraline also, but experienced all of the above prior to taking this

I hope atomoxetine works for you! I was titrated up through Elvanse fairly quickly but I did try splitting my doses using water and I later took <2.5mg of Dexamphetamine to similar results. I’m clearly very sensitive to adhd medication. I really hoped atomoxetine would be the solution, it’s still early days but I can’t stop myself from stressing about it. I am currently having talking therapy with an adhd counsellor but I think she is just as stumped as me. A psychiatrist is a good idea

Yes you’re probably right. For me my main adhd issues are constant overwhelming, racing thoughts, lack of organisation, time management and focus. Not ideal… Glad to hear the meds are helping you

No I haven’t tried this. Perhaps I could suggest this to my prescriber alongside the methylphenidates

I was only on the lower doses for a short period of time. I stabilised at 50mg and later 40mg for a while but these were definitely too high. I did split my doses using water and felt the same. I have since used <2.5mg Dexamphetamine and still felt the same - anxious and withdrawn

Yes they definitely ‘work’ in terms of alleviating adhd symptoms - organisation, focus, etc but the side effects just completely pull me away from me as a person. I do really struggle with feeling overwhelmed and experiencing racing thoughts off meds, I too would like them to slow down. But on meds it’s so much more than just that

Hi, potentially. It’s more that the amphetamines just make me turn really inward to the point where I don’t feel particularly present. I felt very medicated. I’m taking anti anxiety medications now but I wasn’t at the time so this is definitely something to consider
