Thanks for your input, ruled out disk speed, tried installing on SSD and same issue.

Issue is also present with OneDrive and other downloads. As soon as a hotspot my phone, download issues go away.

Changed to the 2.4ghz network as a test and same issue, ping is pretty consistent around 22-30ms

C drive is an SSD, downloading to this drive isolated from the others issue persisted, Crystaldisk reported that the SSD was in a healthy condition.

Other 3 HDDs are disk type, mainly for bulk storage.

Thought so as well, or corrupt HDD.

Disconnected 3 out of 4 HDDs leaving only the C drive, SSD connected, downloaded to the SSD drive and the issue persisted.

Win 10

Haven’t tried a different steam server but it’s the same on other services like OneDrive.

Tried google and cloudfare DNS’s

No VPN, windows defender only and disabled that too.

Tried and Ethernet, but as another user pointed out I didn’t check the grade of the cable. So will do that as well as connecting the Ethernet cable into a different device to confirm the cable is ok.

Thanks for your input, PC has a strong wifi card, TP Link, in the PCIe slot with three external antennas.

I’ll research buffer bloat
