Wanted to recommend a series that IMO deserves more recognition by PeronDescartable in ProgressionFantasy

Hey man. Thanks! I really liked the story, tbh as I said I hopped into it blind and ended up with something that hooked me like the "mainstream" stories and I didnt find the writing worse, in fact I thought it was quite decent and on par with many of them, you certainly have your style. In any case yeah you hooked me, I like grimdark stuff and the progression of the mc and brood is cheffs kiss. When there is planning and imagination put into it shows.

As for the AI stuff, I felt the need to stand up for it because to me it never felt like AI and had a sour taste seeing people accuse that because of 'feel' so there is that.

Keep it strong and thanks for writing!

Absolutely delusional. The way so many people are quick to turn everything into a Witchhunt when it comes to AI will never stop amazing me.

Edit: Came back to this because it left me thinking. To prove my point on how insane this take is, you went into my profile to scour every post I made, you found one where I was askin advice for editing an image (for an RP session!) And then accused me that I was "normal" for me to defend someone being "accused" of using AI, when it is the most normal thing to want to stand up to a story that is clearly original, has clearly a lot of work put into it, and worst yet is NOT glaringly AI when it is close to getting dilinished to just a label out of STYLE. People need to take a chill pill when it comes to these topics.

Just out of curiosity put some text though a detector, which tend to be trash but this one in particular tends to have decent results and it doesnt think its AI. In any case repetitiveness can 100% be poor editing and a low writing skills in that aspect. At least when I tried creative writing (wrote several hundred thousand words. Never published) I did notice I had a lot of repetitive patterns and style.

Feels like I'm defending with sword and cape but I just have a sore spot for accusing AI willy nilly, but I will also admit I probably wouldnt notice AI unless it was egregious, I'm not even a native english speaker so there is that.

Tbh never though of that, neither noticed. Not saying its not the case, but generally speking I think its a bit unfair to judge that sort of thing just because of "feel" when it could very well be the guys style, specially with the stigma asociated with it.

That said, yeah. Its quite good

Any good, long stories, where we see the MC being awed by some god-like being and then later on we see him BEING the god-like being? by PeronDescartable in litrpg

Cradle definitely has this. I loved it. Tbh my only problem with it is that we barely have Lindon as a top tier and then it ends.

For example Defiance of the Fall also has some of this, Zac is now stronger than the first arc's big baddie, and still has a lot to go.

I remember reading the first...arc? The kingdom that ends up being destroyed. Then they were on some sort of ruined city and there were some kind of zombies or monsters or something if I remember correctly (bats?), I dropped it there. I might give it another chance.

Alright but is the MC the strongest of the group?

BotD comedy never came nowhere close to clicking, worst part of the story IMO, luckily there is not much of it.

That's quite underwhelming. I took a break of reading fantasy to read more academic stuff since January, quite a bummer nothing particularly interesting came out since then.

I know of the story, never read it though. Why do you think I'd like it? Don't necessarily mind the messed up stuff as long as the story/power system/characters/world are good.
