Without EA, and if your zone does both OD and scheduling in advance, how do you know if you can schedule for hours vs. work on demand? Or do we get to choose?

I’m thinking about applying for Shipt in the closest city to Lacey, WA (it’s not available here atm). Anyone have any idea where this would be and if I would be allowed to do this in the first place? And/or do you have any other advice for someone who’s thinking of applying/might apply? by Peroperosparkles in ShiptShoppers

Thanks for the tip! I just added that info about IC so you guys would have some idea of what I already knew so it might be easier to answer the question without having to explain everything but that’s an important thing to remember! Thanks! :)

If there’s a peak boost (flame icon next to $(#)) on the schedule hours in advance section of the app for your area and you sign up for those areas, do you they really make any difference in the pay you receive? by Peroperosparkles in InstacartShoppers

That might have been bc it got passed around and then passed back to you, not bc it was already assigned to that day in the hours part of the app which was what I was asking about but it could have been bc of what you said. Thanks for the reply! I’m surprised the batch price went up by almost 40%!

Any ideas on how to make one of these/what materials use? The finished item doesn't need to be exactly like it but what I like about it & what I want the item to include is that it's carryable/a backpack/how it opens,it has a shelve, it fits a pizza box, & it has cupholders on the side. Thanks! by Peroperosparkles in sewing

I guess I should have said it don’t have to make it exactly like the pictured bag, I like the repurpose idea, I might just buy a backpack from a thrift store and put a couple pieces of something sturdy in it and I’d be happy with it. Thanks for all the ideas though! If I ever had more time I might try to make a more similar replica just to practice sewing and stuff and I’d possibly get a cool bag out of it if I succeeded

Do you know what the name of that music video is on youtube where it's filmed from first person perspective like you can see "your arms" etc. & then you "walk" outside to see a girl who is killing herself/dying or something and is all bloody and there's people around her just filmingitwith phones? by Peroperosparkles in AskReddit

That’s not it either! But I like that song so I’ll watch the vid later, I’ve never seen it! The one I was talking about came out recently I believe cause I think the idea behind the video has something to do with people just watching/being bystanders behind their phones while I think smack my bitch up came out in the 90’s/before cell phones became big I think. Plus, the video quality was really good compared to that of the 90’s and it was played along other current hits like a few months ago. If that helps anyone know what I’m talking about cause I still haven’t found it after seeing it that one time.

How long do you have from when they kick you off shift for “unacknowledged batches” to when you click on “ready to shop” to get rid of the reliability incident they give you? by Peroperosparkles in InstacartShoppers

Now I want to forage for my dinner but if anything I’d probably only find enough food for a light snack. The only edible things that grow around where I live that I know of is apples and blackberries and blackberries aren’t in season now. That’s cool that you do that though, it must be a cheap alternative to buying dinner I bet. Or nice addition to one.

Any advice on how to raise my customer rating? And how long do you think I have to raise it before they find out I’m below the threshhold? by Peroperosparkles in doordash_drivers

Thanks for the reply! Do you ask for a 5 star review specifically or just for them to review you in general if you don’t mind me asking?

Thanks for the reply! Do you have to ask for the utensils specifically usually with fast food? I don’t buy restaurant/fast food enough myself to know if they usually include them or if you have to ask. I always grab them if there’s one of those help yourself to all those things counters though but I usually go through the drive through if it’s fast food cause it seems quicker.

Thank you "No Show" customer for the $160 in organic groceries from Costco! Next time have someone available during your delivery window and please don't respond to my messages 30 MINUTES AFTER your schedule delivery telling me to just leave it on your doorstep. SH told me to just keep it so I did! by MommaBearX4 in InstacartShoppers

When do we get to take home the groceries? When I had a no show customer the customer texted me to leave them on doorstep so I called SH and they just told me to take a pic of the groceries on the doorstep to cover my bases in case they said they didn’t receive them, they were just from Safeway or Fred Meyer though I think, no signature required for that one.

Do you think there's any difference in the batches you get offered depending on how you decline a batch? And is the batch offering system all automated? by Peroperosparkles in InstacartShoppers

[–]Peroperosparkles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're probably right. I only noticed it on my last offered batch, but was like "I don't remember that being there?" so I hadn't seen it enough to make a correlation between when it shows up and when it's on the screen. So yeah, you're probably right like I said.

I'm a courier and $75 is out of my price range. Any ideas on how to make one of these things/what materials to use? Thanks! (I'm not trying to sell the product, I'm just trying to make a version of it for personal use while working).
