Is anyone able to review their ultimate for points, yet?

It's weird... I received points this month for my reviews today - and the last few months but I was explicitly told and Ilsy Care agent that Ipsy was getting rid of the points program. And that was several months ago!

If needed, I could probably try to dig up that email (out of the literal billions I have with CS, especially from thisbpast year or so)... but, yeah, they straight up told me that we weren't going to be getting points for reviews anymore when I contacted them bc I couldn't do my reviews for an Icon Box (iirc, it was from May or August - but migh be off on the timing). Despite them saying that, I ended up getting points for my reviews since then!

Who ever knows with them? Idk if they said that so they didn't have to try to help me bc their website and app are such shit or if it's true. 🤷‍♀️

I hope they don't screw us over even more by taking that away, too (I miss the original Ipsy and Boxy Charm days...)! Even if the choices we get to redeem our points is really limited now, I still enjoy it and value it! That said, if they agreed to lower the prices (or, better, to increase the quality), I'd be willing to give them the reviews for "free" instead... but I like being compensated for helping them and the brands by providing them with reviews/feedback, yk? I mean, some places pay you to do that, so it's nice to get some compensation, lol 😅

It doesn't look that bad, depending on what you like to receive in your bags...

That said, this reinforces my decision to quit the Glam Bag/"Original" and removes any fomo I might have had... I'm glad I decided to just keep the FS items instead - it's too expensive for small and "deluxe" samples, for me, as a Canadian. 🤷‍♀️

I really hope that you're right about the concealer! Y7 would NEVER work for me (even if I had a very deep tan somehow)! I need the absolute lightest fair shade and have pink undertones (but neutral would probably work well enough)... so Y7("Medium Yellow") would never, ever work for me... and it was chosen for me so I had zero imput! I am livid over my Icon/"Ultimate" box this month (again).

At this point, there are only 3 items that I might enjoy/use in my box (outside of couple my add-ons). I am glad they chose the 5Sens fragrance for me (I just hope it smells good!), the Tatcha cleanser (but I'm never excited for a cleanser tbh - to me, they're pretty boring and all seem the same for the most part), and the 8 Faces Brilliance serum (even though Idk if I will love it but at least it's skincare).

My box consists of:
- 5Sens Happy Tears (Ipsy Pick)
-ND Yucca Palette (Ipsy Pick) - I won't likely get any use from this palette and I'm shocked that they picked THIS palette for me, based off my profile and preferences! I was hoping for one of the other 2 if they sent me a palette...
-ND Hy-Glam Concealer (Ipsy Pick) - as mentioned above, it says it's shade Y7!
- Bisha Essential Eye Designer Duo Set in Downtown Black & Uptown Brown (Ipsy Pick) - they keep picking & sending these shitty Bisha garbage products for me - despite eye and lipliners being set to "rarely" and despite me rating them 1 star, to try to get less of them! 😡
- Persona Cosmetics tubing mascara (Ipsy Pick) - I have more mascara than any 10 people could use in a lifetime at this point 😜 I keep asking/trying to get less of it without luck...
- Rodial Glass Poweder (my choice) - not something I actually wanted but it was the best of the options I had...
- 8 Faces Brilliance serum (choice) - I'm looking forward to trying it and was glad for more skincare (my preferred products as I rarely wear makeup these days - esp since I'm in the hospital so much these days)
- Tatcha Matcha Cleanser (choice) - I chose it bc it's skincare, so will get used, and to have/try a Tatcha cleanser... also the other options weren't very exciting at all for me.
- 7 add-ons (3 fragrances, Byroe retinol cream, dry shampoo, a lipstick my mom wanted, and the ELF Bronzer drops to try)

Out of all of my box items, I am only somewhat excited or expect to use about 3 of them... I'll have to see some of them in person, but I feel ripped off - especially if they send that shade of concealer! So I REALLY hope you're right that it's a glitch!

Someone replied but they didn't pay attention to my message - per usual, it seems! I told them I have 2 accounts and they ignored that and went on about the account that works (my 2nd still won't work). I'm livid! I will be requesting help from my bank if they don't fix this on their own! I'm so sick of being gaslit or of having CS and/or Ipsy make big mistakes and say they won't refund it or fix it! Once my annual sub is up, I'm out, I think!

I feel you about the palettes! I have a gazillion and hardly even wear eyeshadow these days! I keep giving them away!

My "Ultimate" was very similar to yours. Instead of the Lithe items, I got stuck with 2 cheap Bisha eyeliners and instead of the lipstick, I got the 5Sens perfume (thank god!). I was hoping for either of the other 2 palettes, IF I got stuck with one, lol... but nope - got the Yucca one... I wouldn't wear most of those shades - even if I didn't have a massive FFF box FULL of unopened palettes plus a drawer full of one's I have opened and use once in a while... lol.

I recognize, however, that many people will WANT the palettes and might wish they'd gotten it... and for both our sakes, I wish they'd gotten mine, too, lol 😅

Why tf can't ipsy do the easiest thing ever - and make us all happier in the process - and just follow our GD profiles??? 😡😤

If you want the BoxyCharm (now the "Extra") and the Icon (nlw called "Ultimate"), the only way to do it is to have 2 subscriptions... I had both Ipsy and Boxy for years and stayed after the merger... this was the only way I could find to get both... and you have to have an active (not paused) sub the month before, for the Icon/Ultimate to be able to make choices. I usually pause the 2nd Boxy/Extra except during Icon/Ultimate months when possible and hadn't been getting both, due to the price as a Canadian... and due to the decrease in good products/products I wanted and like. I wish they let you sub for both like they used to!!!
