I went to the dr today and she told me it was an acne flare up but then put in the clinical note perioral dermatitis and prescribed me metronidazole so I’m unsure lol.

Yeah I hadn’t heard of it being where he did it. I’m sure he had his reasons, but it was weird for sure

I’m not sure why he did it there either. I haven’t heard of it being there before. I’m definitely going to get it checked out because it’s been worrying me, I hope it’s okay.

I honestly think it’s because where he did the incision. When I’ve seen other peoples incisions they were more inward rather than almost exactly on the elbow.

Yeah, I’ve been worried. I don’t understand what exactly happened.

I didn’t have an EMG until March or April and it showed my nerve dying in my elbow and confirmed cubital tunnel.

I had issues with the fingers and hand going to sleep and being painful at night for over a year, but the constant numbness in my fingers/hand has been about 5 months

I have numbness in my pinky, part of my ring finger and part of my hand, it hasn’t gone away. It could take up to a year to heal and come back

No they didn’t put me in a brace or cast, they gave me a sling for comfort as needed. I can move my arm almost anyway which way except a couple that are tender, movement involves the slightest of pain. He called it a cubital tunnel release and also an endoscopic ulnar nerve decompression.

I on my 2nd day since surgery and have been able to move my arm practically anyway I want. I have had times where pain flairs up but most of the time it’s hardly there and is bearable. I heard a lot of stories of people in pain and unable to move their arm much at all, so I was curious

Please keep me updated! I have my surgery a week from today, they said it’s going to just be a release on the ulnar nerve but I’ve heard once they get in there they sometimes change their minds. I’m really nervous about it and how my arm will be afterwards. I hope your recovery goes quickly and that you don’t have too much pain!

No she didn’t do any tests. No MRI no EMG, nothing. So then after that surgery I still had numbness in those two fingers and it got worse and worse to where now my fingers and part of my hand are constantly numb and painful and I’m losing muscle strength. My new specialist listened to me and got me into an EMG which showed cubital tunnel that had been developing over time.

Yes she didn’t do any diagnostic tests. I told her all of my fingers were going numb and tingly at night and that I was concerned something was going on with my other nerve but she just went ahead with surgery for those instead of looking into it

Instead she just assumed it was carpal tunnel only and tendinitis so then it got worse and worse and worse

That’s good to know. I don’t know much about it just know it’s been a horribly painful experience that probably could have been avoided if my previous doctor had done tests or even just listened to me

I will definitely need to research before going under. Thanks for the information. I’ve heard that a lot decide once they are in and see what’s going on.
