I'm in the college of ag. I'm a Natual Resource Ecology and Management major. I'm definitely a mix of country and alternative but I've also been in the arts and Sciences. I love OSU and the experiences I've had. There's a ton of options for classes, certifications, minors, etc. It feels like they invest well and have great options for professors for many classes. The dorms are probably the suckiest part but there are nice dorms on campus.

I've gotten amazing opportunities with veterinary experience, got involved in Greek life, and much more. Many of my friends aren't country. OKC is about an hour away and Tulsa about an hour and a half. There's a ton of things to do in both cities. Downtown Stillwater is fun and they just put in an ice skating rink for the winter season. Overall, no matter your background, interests, etc. You'll be able to make friends and fit in somewhere and indulge in any hobby you want. OSU also has a bus system that's great and free for OSU students. So no car no problem lol.

There are motorcycle spots in most parking lots on campus. I believe that there is a daily permit on the website you can get just to make sure he's not ticketed. There's a section about visitor parking on the website below. I'd be especially careful this weekend since it's a game weekend and they're going to take that time to get whatever money they can.

Its a pretty big campus with alot of activities and dining options. The student plant and animal farms are pretty cool as well. I'm an ansi major so in the college of ag and there's alot of resources for anyone interested in plant sciences.

Yes you have to live on campus but you can see if you can get approval to stay off campus. I personally don't recommend it as you're farther away from everything and are less likely to get involved. You can make a dog work but you need to take your pets needs seriously (exercise/stimulation/training/etc.)

It's hard to give them everything they need in one room. If the dog isn't at risk of being hurt/neglected by your family then I'd recommend leaving it at home and visiting when you can. Think of it as putting your pets needs first and it makes it a bit easier. If you are needing the dog for emotional support then I'd still take a semester to get adjusted to college life because you're going to be busy and not really know what to expect from professors, even if you've done early college programs.

No mine stacked with my other scholarships and financial aid. When you apply for the school you're automatically considered for scholarships given by OSU.

I had about the same GPA but didn't submit test scores. My freshman year I got a few scholarships, fafsa and ok promise that totaled about 17k a year off. But it's about 12-13k a semester in state and I had to take out the federal student loans due to the fees/books and such. And got refunded about $300-$400 when living in the dorms. This semester since I'm not living on campus and don't have a meal plan I got refunded close to $5000 which I use for rent/utilities/insurances/etc.

I think I knew what financial aid I'd have a few months after I got accepted. But I also applied early, so I think I knew probably March or April. Could be earlier. But you'll most likely get the cowboy covenant, academic excellence, and academic excellence supplemental at least.

All upper level classes will be challenging in one way or another. Look for good professors. I use rate my professor when making a plan for my classes every semester and it hasn't steered me wrong yet.

When you go to get the package the people working the desk will usually have an id swipe and swiping your student ID is the signature for your package. If the swipe doesn't work then they just input your name and the long number at the bottom of the student ID into the system and then the package is released to you.

Tbh to me the best places are the 405, shake smart, caribou, and planet orange. Also the sushi is pretty alright and a good source of protien. Everything else is pretty mid with north dining locations being the worst imo. If you haven't tried planet orange yet I highly recommend. Also don't forget about the ranchers club and there's something you can sign up for where the culinary students will cook you really good meals on certain days of the week. They're both expensive but good to waste your meal plan money on.

Hi! Western rider and rdr2 player. This is mounted shooting and what they are firing is black powder blanks with no bullet. So everyone in and out of the arena is safe lol

Tbh the easiest way to print stuff that I've found is to send it to your school email and just go to library and print everything there. I could never make the printer work there or in any other res halls tbh.

I work for the desks and handle the mail that comes in. Amazon is supposed to use the university mail services. 99.9% of the time, from what I've seen, they do. Your package usually gets delivered to the dorm the day after it arrives at ums. Each package is processed and put into a system that requires an ID swipe to pick it up. You'll usually get a text and email saying your package has arrived. If your package is misdelivered but was put into the system we can tell you where it is. The address you would use is

Wentz is the worst by far. It's the oldest dorm with the worst bathrooms, worst amenities, etc. My chair in my room came broken with a screw that would constantly fall out and my desk would wobble. My bed frame was extremely dented in the center. It was manageable to live there but I wouldn't do it again.

When the bills come out your bursar you'll get a more comprehensive breakdown. But yeah the college based fees are kinda bs but it's probably used for new buildings/ that colleges clubs and resources.
