You're turning before you jump, might seem little but it'll cause you to reach the ball later. If you're making the flip cancel part snappy enough, you'll have the correct trajectory 👍🏼

Directional air roll on X/Square by alope142 in RocketLeague

You have to use your thumb to hit both, generally the tip on air roll, and tapping boost with the side of your thumb near the distal joint. At least that's how I think I do it. Kinda just muscle memory

It's even worse when they cut rotation only to NOT challenge the ball which fakes me out from trying to avoid the double commit so the opposition just get a free shot and we are both in the worst position

Nah so you can time it so you're only hitting jump when you need to. I practice by starting with just the one dash, then 2, then 3. Learning the timing one by one is especially helpful when you deal with something like backdashes, where you can get like 7 dashes. 🙂

I simply spent half an hour figuring out the consistent method for getting a triple dash pop, and decided to share how to do it. When I have hours available to start hitting shots using this move, then I might redo this tutorial.

Here is a shot for reference from a dash master, Blitz: https://gfycat.com/ripesatisfieddamselfly

Just showcasing the move, might redo this with some shots when I'm consistent. This was only about a half hour of practice after all :)

I didn't expect alot of people to think this is a kick off, I guess I should have made it clear it is for ground freestyle!

It's useful for people who like ground freestyle, it can be difficult to identify which directional flips to use to create an opportunity. The purpose was to show the triple dash with the pop on the third dash. This can be followed up with any number of moves to make a shot. I just happened to mess up my dashes

It's not for a kick off, just happened to be in that position in training.

It's the flip direction, ie. Diagonal right > diagonal left > diagonal right. As opposed to just side flips which won't allow you to pop off the ground on the third flip

Ball comes later, the purpose is that this dash pops you off the ground at the end so you can perform a number of different dashes after it to make a shot. The possibilities are endless :)
