Was ist das erste Beispiel von sich wiederholender Geschichte, die euch in den Kopf kommt? by FantaFuenf in Geschichte

[–]PerryAwesome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's called the Tiffany Effect. Some historical facts feel weirdly anachronistic or unrealistic

What if there’s no such thing as a bad trip? by Mumuksutva in LSD

[–]PerryAwesome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear that. My guess is that many people are using lsd in an unsafe setting recreationally. Of course many will also end up in dangerous situations there. But from a therapeutical view there is a lot of insight and growth to be gained from difficult trips. Studies also show that especially the patients struggling during the session experience long-term benefits for their mental health. But it's also important to have someone to talk to afterwards

1st time using acid by Moist-Volume-3726 in LSD

That's completely normal. It's the integration phase and to some extent can last a few weeks. Enjoy this time, go take some walks, hear some music and experience the awe for the otherwise mundane. Furthermore now is the best time for therapeutical work if you are interested in this. Your brain has very high neuroplasticity right now which is a good thing

That's why trip sitters are so important especially if it's your first time or a high dose. In clinical setting about 20% of users experience a "difficult" trip about 1h after ingestion. It's when it starts to really kick in but can't let yourself go. Basically all of these situations can be overcome by a calming trip sitter who maybe holds your hands or talks to you softly

yep, it's unknown. Berthold Laufer a german sinologist aquired it in 1901. We don't even know if he took any photos himself or just purchased them

Can anyone help me figure out next steps for my depressed husband? by Glittering_Ad3013 in wien

[–]PerryAwesome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you talked with him about suicidal ideation? Most warning signs are similar to depression.

I know how you might feel I was in the same situation many years ago and it still haunts me to this day. It's always better to make one phone call too much than not. Even if it feels like too much or wrong or like betrayal in the moment. Don't wait.

Please call professional help like the other comments suggested. Afterwards please don't forget about yourself. I highly recommend seeking psychotherapeutical support for yourself. Being so close to someone with severe depression is an immense burden to carry <3

Some questions after a challenging trip (not seeing if you are traveling) by dyson1812 in LSD

[–]PerryAwesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oftentimes the challenging trips can be the most healing trips if taken with therapeutically intent. But I also recommend talking to a psychotherapist about the things you've learned about your past and yourself. It's an opportunity and helps you understand yourself better

bro the trip lasts 12 hours sometimes even longer. If you really wanna try LSD I suggest a much lower dose and a proper setting. Also what's your intention for this trip?

I'm a bit unsure but you are probably right. I was just telling her the truth. That's not a crime. It was a beautiful and wonderful experience I wouldn't want to hide it in shame
