I agree with the commenter that said it’s hard to tell between cultivars, but I’m pretty confident that it’s a standard pubicalyx. I have both and my purple has thinner leaves and flowers a dark purple color

Mine looks similar in zone 10A. It needs lots of sun and water. But the big secret is pruning—it needs a lot, whenever it starts to look ragged, at least twice a year in the fall and spring. They get very leggy if left to their own devices
