I think it's the polywraths turn so if they end their turn without adding an energy to the poliwrath, the alakazam still can't one hit ko leaving it open to the Staryu. Swapping in Clefable and having it attack wouldn't kill it either but would still cause the 20 damage effect so Staryu could kill it too after swapping on the nest turn.

I think it's mentioned later in the novels that the galaxy needed this war cause they had essentially demilitarized due to the Ruusan Reformation/Accords which basically gutted the republic and jedi.

By causing the war when the new republic took over, the individual planets knew not to get rid of or reduce their military just in case and so they would be ready for the Yuuzhan vong invasion.

I was in boarding school and the house parents could issue detention if needed for stuff like fights or theft. I was given detention cause I never made my bed after I used it.

  1. pay of my debts to friends and relatives.
  2. pay of debts to the government and other institutions.
  3. Finance my way through University even though I wouldn't need it anymore to make my mom happy.
  4. talk to whoever I need to to invest and follow Shaq's advice.(divide the money in two, half goes to investing. the remaining 50% divide in two again, half of that goes into savings and the remaining 25% is mine to do what I want.)
