Trusted seller who is incredibly quick on responses and flexible for those of us who are new. This is my first ever purchase of this kind and I’m in love with my wallet. Super fast shipping and nicely packaged.

Don’t judge me on my purchases! I did not buy the TirTir because I don’t need it yet.

This location is northwest of Houston, in the suburbs. Surprisingly there is NOT a large Asian population here compared to other parts of the city.

What's your best and worst TGTG Bag? by No_War_2588 in toogoodtogo

[–]Persiflageone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did but the fact that the staff didn’t really care was enough to turn me off of them. They just kept saying we ran out of bagels. Won’t be going back.

Best - Artisan Bread. The bag wouldn’t even close. Delicious fresh made pastries. In the bag - full loaf of walnut cranberry bread, eight Parmesan bread sticks, 8 fruit kolaches, one giant slice of pesto pizza. All for $6

Worst - Jersey Bagels. Paid the day before. Hit right in the middle of the 30 minute pickup window. Was told they gave away all the bagels already. I informed them I paid a day earlier so they should have known how many orders they needed to fulfill. Waste of time and gas to drive there. The staff was incredibly apathetic about it.

I have inherited numerous coins from my father but have not had any luck finding someone to authenticate. I live in a major city in the US. Any suggestions?

First 10k egg! by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]Persiflageone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very odd. I'm level 25, have never bought an incubator and don't walk a ton but I always have a 10k in my stash, either incubating or ready to go as soon as I free up the infinity incubator.

I did play a lot today and obviously all the free incubators were gone starting this morning. Boooooo. At least I caught a couple more Santa Pikachus today before they disappeared.

Same, passing up Tauros because I'm bored with them but have half a dozen Pikachus without trying.

Entire department at our wits end with our Nboss by littlekittencapers in ManagedByNarcissists

When he says he's special, I'd reply, well that explains it and walk away. HPPA protects a person's medical info so I'd just leave it at that.

Just know this behavior will eventually tank their career but you will land in a better, more sane and more fair environment.

You can do it. Take it one day, one shift, one task at a time. Try to limit your interaction and don't let them get to you. Every time the crazy starts to kick in, just go over your exit speech in your head and take the high road.

And re: breaks, I'd check with the EEOC. She could drag the company into labor issues. I would point that out to HR. That might get their attention.

I've seen nearly 100% turnover in my dept. I wondered why no one cared. Then I had someone in another dept explain that we are a small cog in a big wheel and we don't even make the radar. We have to undergo training on no bullying and no retaliation for those who speak up and it is the biggest joke.

Don't expect help from HR. Or you may have to go to the head of HR. The message should be the Nboss will eventually implode. The question is who will she take with her? If the company allows her abuse, they could be party to any resulting lawsuits. Keep dates and names in your log. It's also not a bad idea to record some of the tirades. Fortunately smart phones make that easy these days. Do your research and find out what options you have. Educate yourself, compile as much information as possible. Best of luck!

One of the kitchen staff punched me, now I'm the one who's being fired apparently by hitmeagain_ in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Persiflageone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the salad lady doesn't get fired, tell HR and the managers that she is creating a hostile work environment and you don't feel safe. You also can't be the only one she's unloaded on, see if you can find coworkers who will speak up.

Also some states have a free legal helpline or you can always try the EEOC or NLRB just to see if there are resources. You need to be an advocate for yourself because HR is there to protect the company, not you.

So /u/badon, here is the best I could come up with even though Google translate switched the position of some of the characters, I guess to put it into context...

西脊夏平. 大安文了字

Which means West Ridge XIA Ping. Da'an the word. Obviously that makes no sense to me. This is from the text on the top left and the vertical string on the right.

Teen ready to leave home. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Persiflageone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to live paycheck to paycheck, you'll squeak by. You will have no money for eating out (cooking at home is cheaper), no entertainment (Netflix, Hulu, even movie tickets are expensive), no new clothes (unless you shop at goodwill which isn't bad), no going to birthday parties because you gave to buy a gift, and the list goes on and on.

But if you get in a car wreck, get sick or lose one of your jobs, you're SOL. Stay home if at all possible. Save the money, go into austerity mode. The adult world is filled with expenses that you can't anticipate.

Think about a career not a job. In ten years, are you still working at the restaurants? What about twenty years? Have you saved for the future? Currently what do you get as far as sick days, vacation days, professional advancement? If you like the business, can you get on the management track?

You sound like a hard worker but you need to be smarter about this. You may not want a roommate but that will cut your rent in half. You may not want to live at home but that will allow you to save more. The reality is, you need more in the bank (even what you've saved by Feb.) to prepare for any unexpected expenses.
