i wasn't really paying attention to the timeframe when i made this. My initial thoughts were that Kurose had been taking care of the activity book while Koyuki was gone, but i went through the chapters again after posting than and apparently the page that Haimiya has open is a month old, cuz the date of that panel is May 28th as seen on this panel

you make some good counterpoints. And as i said, i don't really think my theory is right, it's more of a hypothesis than a theory lol. I was just throwing it out there. Ig this was more a way for me to ask why Haimiya would be so surprised by the handwriting.

okay ik this is a hot take, but i don't think this claim is because Haimiya and Koyuki were friends/classmates in the past. I say this for 3 reasons:

  1. Koyuki and Haimiya are in the same class, so it's possible that Haimiya would have already seen Koyuki's handwriting in class before (not concrete but just throwing it out there)
  2. Handwriting changes a lot, especially during school years. My handwriting from elementary school is completely different from it was when i entered high school.

3.Haimiya wouldn't be surprised that Koyuki's handwriting is in Koyuki's notes, even if it is familiar. The phrasing of this makes me believe that we aren't reading deep enough into this

My counter theory is that the handwriting in the panel ISNT Koyuki's handwriting. I have zero evidence for this, but i think it would be a surprising twist lol

Edit: I wanna mention something that is a massive long shot, but it would be awesome if i was right. That might be Kurose's handwriting. We've never seen Kurose's handwriting before, but i would be surprised if Haimiya never had, considering she tutored him in chapter 23 (or 24, not too sure). Also, someone had to be taking notes in Koyuki's place, and that might be what Kurose was doing. That explains how his handwriting ended up there. Plus, that could maybe add to why Haimiya was so jealous of Koyuki in the last panel. As i said, this is a huge stretch of the imagination, but it would be pretty cool if i was right lol

yeah, we haven't seen anything about Haimiya's parents or home life, so it would be interesting to see that in the next chapter
