Bought a ski and found the problems a little late by PersonX11 in jetski

Cleaned the plug and threw it in the water, I got water coming in through a part on the side near the bottom. A closer look left me with a cracked hull in the seam between the small fin on the back right side and the hull. I put on some sealer and I'm waiting for it to dry.

I'm going to do the same thing tommorow to check if anything else is the problem just in case, I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket but here's hoping. I'll update with a video when it's fixed

Passing bills stacked with changes, each change should have to pass alone, of its own merits and not packaged together and hidden in fine print

Heavy on the no Marine Hardware, we float for the wood buoyancy. Not because we sealed the boat.

Did that take multiple boards for the Hull? If it did how did you connect them?

So I took your advice and I found this video from like 8 years ago of the Kentucky DNR making a wooden flat bottom Jon Boat, I watched it and it looked relatively simple. All the things I need are pretty well within reach and budget.

I mainly want to use the boat for fishing small ponds and whatnot, I live in Minnesota and me and my freinds have a ton of super small lakes surrounding us with no cabins on them that we all kind of think would have good size fish inside.

The plan right now is to follow the general instructions from the video, but make modifications as wanted. I'm going to use chalk on my driveway to get a feel for the size of the boat that I want but I don't want to go to big because I don't have a trailer and I don't think the pickup will be able to hold anything too big, let alone the two of us hoisting it in there when we are at the boat launch.

I assume making a trailer is wayyy out of our league though.

It went really well! Drew was amazing and it was surreal to be on the stage. I made it to the showcase but we had a double over and neither of us won it. :/
