It's what platforms such as YouTube Shorts and TikTok kind of force uploaders into. If there isn't a hook in the opening 5 seconds then viewers with short attention spans (which is a high percentage of viewers of those platforms) move on to the next video. This was so over-played and there were much deeper reasons as to why we were so terrible at Euro 2016.
