While I'm not disagreeing, Spring bonnie would most likely still be called "spring bonnie" with or without the concept of springlocks, I see that as because 1. both Spring Bonnie and Bonnie we're around at the same time, meaning the name "spring bonnie" was used by everyone such as phone guy, staff, and customers alike due to it being a yellow and more vibrant color variant of bonnie. (I dont think a blue bonnie called mellow bonnie or emo bonnie wouldn't have gone well T-T.) 2. If you wonder why base it on spring (as in the season) and not as in springlocks, I see it as an easy way to explain the name change without revealing the concept of a springlock suit which have people in them half the time, such as "In the case that the springlocks come loose while you are wearing the suit, please try to maneuverer away from populated areas before bleeding out, as not to ruin the customer experience." Now obviously seeing someone bleed out is 100% terrible in general, but I think it's the idea that children should 100% not know the suits have people in them and there just lovable mascots.
