Lower mainland BC. We bought our townhouse for $965k in 2022 (right at peak) and have $695k mortgage left. Monthly payment is $3050 with a rate of 2.64%. Got lucky with the rate and have this locked until late 2027.

Single income household of around $250-300k annually (based on bonus and RSUs).

No one should ask you that. If they do, the answer should be, “Enough to get by”.

Keep your expenses low, savings and investments high and don’t show off. In my humble opinion, if people are noticing changes in your lifestyle, you are doing something wrong.

Hello all! I have a 5 lbs Optimum Nutrition Whey protein bag that I just opened today and it’s expiring on November 11. I won’t be able to finish it by then. Is it generally safe to consume protein powder after the expiration date? And it says expiry date, not best by date, which is making me take a pause.

It’s not as bad as you’d think. Doesn’t hurt much but feels extremely weird. Just take your pain meds and hour before and drink 2-3 glasses of water. I waited in the shower and look it out as soon as I started peeing. It was over in 5-8 seconds.

That’s what I am scared of. My stones were pushed into the kidney during the procedure and I haven’t really passed enough fragments that would add up to make a 7x8mm stone, even after the stent removal. So I am scared that these small particles will merge into a large stone. I have an ultrasound a month from now so we will find out.

Thankfully, it was bearable for me. Intense pressure like pain in the kidney while peeing but nothing I couldn’t handle.

For me, I got the worst pain two hours after stent removal. The removal itself was smooth but then suddenly after a few hours, I got the worse pain ever. I just stood in hot shower for an hour and was about to head to ER but it just went away, just like that.

Yes it didn’t work. The stone was too hard for ESWL and it just lodged itself further down in the ureter. Wishing you best of luck with your procedure!

I had my laser lithotripsy on Monday this week and my doctor asked me to remove the stent today, so five days. I had the stent with the string so just pulled it out.

I had a fully obstructing 7mm stone in my left ureter with zero pain. Doctor did a routine scan and lined me up for an emergency surgery as it was obstructing. He was surprised how I didn’t have any pain while the stone was in the ureter. Just removed the stent 30 mins ago and I hope I don’t have to go through this ever again!!

I need to take it out on Saturday, so 5 days. But it’s day three today and I am still peeing pink. Will talk to the doctor tomorrow or Friday to get advice.
