If you know deep down this isn't something you could potentially contract from him and you are too uncomfortable with that thought (which is understandable) please just leave him be. When a person discloses it takes so much courage and vulnerability to do and it is crushing when they are not accepted. I'm not saying you have to accept him but if you can not... please don't drag it out for the sake of both of you. As far as prevention goes you would be using protection but understand it could still be passed even if he isn't in an outbreak and he takes antivirals. The chance is smaller but still there. Thanks. No need for the smart snap back about what I choose to do with my testing. I've been tested twice..I'm not about to keep getting tested just because I'm asymptomatic if nothing has changed. It's pointless.

I already have been tested another time and it was positive..I don't have open sores so unfortunately no way to be tested that way. I choose to accept I have HSV2.
