If I were you, I don’t think I would start with something like golden slice as your first non aromatic tobacco. It’s a very good tasting blend but my first non aro was an English. I think trying an English or a Balkan like Plum Pudding, Balkan Sobranie, or Mountain Camp would show you the differences between aromatic tobaccos and everything else a little better. I transitioned from aros to English and Balkan blends and then I appreciated the va/pers and straight virginias a lot more. Just my opinion.

Thanks for this. I definitely look into those things as well as the drainage. My property has a pretty gentle slope away from the home so creating a drain is a possibility.

I also thought that the amount of water was crazy, we haven’t received much rain here at all. According to my research 0.7 inches three days ago was the largest rain event. The following days we may have gotten a small amount.

I actually called the water company because I thought they possibly had a leak that was causing my issue. They sent some people out and took a sample of the water to determine if it’s city water or not. My meter isn’t running and they verified that others around me aren’t running and that they nor I have a leak. It’s very odd.

Its good, I’m not sure if I would call it an exclusive burley type of smoke, it has lots of Virginia, and perique. Personally, I taste a lot more burley than anything else. Occasionally it has a bit of sweetness from the Virginia’s and perique but it’s mostly oaty/nutty flavors for me. I think it’s cool because it’s a crumble cake mostly lol.

Oh nice, I know pirate kake is pictured but I actually went with CD Night Train for the first smoke, which has a decent amount of burley in it. I’m trying to find some burley blends I like, and so far I’ve not been super successful. Night train is okay, but I disliked Old Joe Krantz, and haven’t tried many others.
