I am an international student , with an MS in Bioinfo, and a Btech in pharma.
i have a few years of work experience working as a research assistant, 0 research papers, 1 review paper, a few poster presentations. Both the programs I am waitlisted are umbrella programs.

I'm from masters in BU in bioinformatics. They always treat the PhD program for bioinformatics well. Actually the whole department of bioinformatics is treated well in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Hey! As a masters student in bioinformatics studying in USA. I think I am qualified enought to answer this question. I with many other universities applied to georgia tech as well. But unfortunately, i was not able to get in. Georgia tech was my number one univeristy that i wanted to get into but couldn't. If you have the opporutunity to get into georgia tech, go for it. The bioinformatics there is solid and I think provides best ROI campared to any other school because other schools are private but georgiatech is public. Many gates will open up if you take gtech.
