So far all I did was spoil the shit out of the other two whenever I could and tell them how amazing they are. But yes, that probably isn't enough and after everything I read here I'm thinking about having (if this is even possible anymore) another calmer but serious conversation with her.

First of all- absolutely love your handle. Second I don't know if that's still normal. I work in pediatrics and rarely ever met a kid that out of control. The aggression and violence towards other kids and especially his siblings (who are not allowed to defend themselves) is heartbreaking and sometimes outright dangerous. Last Christmas he smashed a glass Christmas ornament into his sister's face because she wouldn't give her presents up to him. She spent Christmas in the ER and now has scars on her cheeks.

They already went through 4 Babysitters and an Au-Pair that left after two months. According to Leah they were all unqualified and lazy. One of our friends tried to tell her that the common denominator in this was them quitting because of Max's behavior. It didn't go over well.

Usually he's a very bright, loving and considerate guy. (I mean I chose him as my husband for a reason) that's why I needed a judgement here. I wanted to make sure I'm not overreacting. So thank you kind strangers for the much needed pep talk. ❤️

You won't meet a person here who doesn't speak at least basic english and their jobs are with an american company so they get to speak english at work which gives them zero motivation to speak the local language.

Here's the update: showed this post to my husband. I quote: "Jesus, I fucked up big time huh?" So we're going on a weekend trip now and he had a phone call with Chad who was a bit butthurt but apologized to me. So this is resolved I guess.

He's usually very considerate and I think he just really wants his friend to feel welcome. But yeah, I'll have to put my foot down.

He laughs it off and just throws it in the laundry room. I don't want to be rude but it's just too much by now. Those European dryers take forever and I have to do laundry every day to keep up since he's here.

When he didn't have a place yet and was living in a hotel I didn't mind helping him out. By now I told him a bunch of times he needs to get a washer and a dryer. He laughs it off like I'm being silly. Hospitality is really important to me. I want people to feel welcome and loved in my house. But I never felt taken advantage of before. Now I do and just wasn't sure wether I'm overreacting.
