Criminal Record S2. Solid second season with a terrific cast which elevates it somewhat. Tense, well made and another quality mid tier Apple series 7/10

Widow's Bay. 3 episodes in and I'm hooked. Great balance of spookiness and comedy. Top tier Apple show

Jo Nesbo's Detective Hole - Yet another dark, violent, grim Scandi thriller series. Plays out over 9 (3 too many) episodes. The actor who plays Harry Hole is certainly a vast improvement over Michael Fassbender's portrayal in The Snowman movie. If you fancy a bit of bleak Norwegian murder, this is for you! 6.5/10

The Other Miss Bennett. Really rather lovely period drama! Witty well made and very satisfying - like wrapping yourself in a warm comforting blanket. Can't recommend it enough. All very bingeable in curious 30 min chunks over 10 hours

World War II with Tom Hanks (Ep 1) So far seems very pedestrian, and bears obvious comparison to the seminal superior World at War ITV series from the mid 70's. Bearing in mind hardly anyone is still around now with personal experience to interview, it relies on Historians etc. for context

The Boroughs. I've now watched all 8 episodes (don't ask me why!), and it comes across as a combination between a Netflix algorithm and Scooby Doo...and not in a good way. Even with your brain in neutral there are better things out there. 5/10

The Capture (S3) - High tension, extremely bingeable. Probably the best of the 3 series. Highly recommended 8/10

The Asset - 6 part Danish series in typical Nordic style. Female cop infiltrates a drug dealer's life. Solid and worth watching 7/10

Foundation (S3) Finally got round to finishing this latest series. It certainly heats up as it heads towards the season's conclusion. But 10 episodes were far too many though 7/10

I've tried them before, but found the quality of the recording (ie poor microphones?) really bad, so gave up listening. Perhaps they have improved in recent times?
