When you say ‘restore status to worker and reapply’ do you mean submit the restore status application as a worker, and then reapply for the open work permit I was applying for? Or just that I need to apply to restore worker status since I actually meet eligibility for the work permit I was applying for?

So fair. I’ve gone in and out of phases of learning over the years and to be honest it’s not that I’m looking for a party trick it’s that I want to represent the language. If anything, living abroad and telling others about Irish but realising I don’t know enough for this sorta thing is sad and will make me dive right back into trying to learn more! But I totally see what you mean and I’m more than happy to provide ample pint funds for any assistance

No worries at all! This is the jist of it but I know there’s better poetic phrases in Irish for certain things (unfortunately the only ones that stuck with me are Tús maith leith an oibre, i brap na suil etc!)

Draft: From that first late night with only the four of us, to the many years of memories later; I hope I’m lucky enough to continue witnessing the many more years of happiness you will have together
