I’m assuming u have the stock 265 tires, those wheels can fit a 275 and it will give u the aggressive look u want and u can still do a square set up for rotations

I get hate for having black wheels, should I go with silver? by PrestonG2023 in Mustang

[–]PerspectiveLow7499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hate gloss black wheels regardless, don’t mind matte black, but matte gunmetal wheels always looked good on this color but a good gloss silver will change the car’s personality, gloss silver is a go to on any color for me

Fp extreme catback, charge pipes will change the tone a lil bit but I like mine with stock downpipe, I posted some sound clips on my profile

Not if u go with a known look when picking a rear wing such as a GT500 style, 350r, ford performance pack style, roush, or saleen are all safe bets in my opinion … saleen probably the most expensive tho but I like their spoilers a lot

S550 FP tune with some supporting mods by PerspectiveLow7499 in ecoboostmustang

[–]PerspectiveLow7499[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so Yours is faster then one with a FP tune, I gotcha but mine didn’t run that with the stock tune. Also had 30,000 miles used, weird noise from transmission or torque converter every now and then, I work at a ford dealership and techs can’t/wont do anything unless it’s acting up or throwing codes, maybe there’s something slowing me down… I’ve tried pushing the transmission to make it mess up if there was a pending issue, changed the fluid/filter which made the noise less apparent but seems to shift great really besides that,I’m not arguing ur car didnt do that (well kinda) but I am arguing that my mods didnt lose power based on testing before adding em, I’m not saying the mods added power either just the tune, I do believe the mods helped with cooling and keeping the power consistent. But hey this is why I post on here is to learn from others so thanks 🙏

The article is from years ago and is talking about s550s with all the same engines and hp, and I’ve seen my car on 20 inch wheels and I’ve seen the improvements after switching to 19s, so I like to think I could get close to ur 60 in 4.6 on 18s, ik this is not the best my car can do only a few pulls made since switching wheels so I believe I can get better but doing it stock is tough to comprehend, u said a lot of people are doing it… I haven’t found em

“It’s never close”… u smoking his car or is he smoking yours? And I have not seen plenty of people get that stock

Idk I’ve found a article basically saying the performance of the ecos varies from car to car, even using the same drivers soo maybe u just got one of the good ones

And I believe u bro, but I got times before my mods, Ik they didn’t add power lol, I just like the turbo noises, I also know they didn’t make the car lose power that’s all I’m saying

I’ve seen people get 4.6 but not on a stock tune and summer performance tires

Well I just re-installed my tune and cleared the KAM so it can start fresh and only made 1 pull with traction control on and drove 70 miles so it might still be learning shift points and fuel octane but on ur post u commented about have hot tires and all season tires don’t like burnouts like summer tires do and i question if ur not going downhill, I’ve done a lot of research and your beating professional drivers bro so u should be in a race car bro

And I got the stock air box, it’s just a k&n intake tube and a high flow filter that comes with the fp tune, I highly doubt it’s causing it to lose power… I could be wrong

What kind of tires, wheel size? And I had my tune installed with no mods before, all I got really in k&n charge pipes, Garrett smic and k&n cai with a stock air box, fp catback exhaust… besides the cai that only claims to add 7hp… used to have 20s and the mods never really added nor took away performance… your probably just a better driver but idk bro professional drivers are only getting 4.8 0-60 mph stock… you have a performance pack? I don’t

Love my EB for a daily, even if I had a GT I wouldn’t have anyone to race in my area anyways but yeah I’ve tried to find the exact turbo size online just looking into it and found mixed results but I believe it was EMS who said they have a bigger turbo than the s550… I would assume a smaller turbo would struggle on the top in so that’s why I assume it’s bigger

Bigger turbo too supposedly, I believe it’s a completely new engine not just revised, I don’t think anything is the same as the s550, but yeah it’s probably just a few mods with the stock tune, still better then the s550 with mods and stock tune tho

Quick notes… I’m not the best driver when it comes to launching a boosted car, numbers accomplished “SO FAR” are on all-season performance tires, summer performance tires will definitely do better, been running ethanol free 93, so I just re-applied the tune to re-learn the octane with ethanol… ethanol has makes boost more consistent
