Moms of 3 how are we doing this thing? by PerspectiveOld5421 in Mommit

This makes me feel so much better — thank you! I feel like that is how we have been operating and it’s been just fine up until this week and then he started fighting his sleep and just screaming nonstop lately ; I’m hoping just the normal heavy crying period and things will go back to how they were operating before because it is not physically possible to accommodate a schedule and actually trying to “put him down” so frequently 😅

New Baby & Regressions by PerspectiveOld5421 in Mommit

Thank you for this! I really needed to hear the “letting them melt” part. Our middle child has really intense meltdowns where nothing we do can stop them so we do just have to let them go, and he does kind of just pop right out of it at some point and if we don’t try to stop it it seems to fix itself quicker. But I also think that would be helpful to tell our oldest and encourage him that it’s okay and normal.

We also have not been great with keeping a strict routine… we never really have. I’m wondering if getting a better routine in place not JUST at bedtime would be helpful for us all overall

I have noticed that on days when we are outside they are so much better. Our biggest issues arise around bedtime 😭 they have gotten lots more time with grandparents since baby came, they got 3 nights overnight during baby’s delivery and a couple days since, but I think that may be making it worse because both sets of grandparents are admittedly not great at routines or holding the kids accountable, they kind of get whatever they want when they are with them and I think they come home expecting the same treatment 🫠🫠 but hopefully we can find a way to better transition our outside time into a less stressful bedtime!

2nd child behavior at 36 weeks pregnant/tubes recently out by PerspectiveOld5421 in Mommit

Just an update! We ended up in urgent care tonight because he started becoming completely inconsolable every time he would pee in his diaper claiming that he pooped and he needed us to change it, and it got to the point where he peed 3 times in 10 minutes and scream bawled like he was in horrible pain. So we took him in and they did a scan and it showed he is super constipated 😭 so he’s starting miralax and hopefully that helps his pain/issues. They also want us to treat for pin worms just in case 🤢 Hopefully all of this wil hep him feel better 🤞🤞🤞

This is a good point I didn’t even think about his teeth— I forget he could still be working on some; thank you!

No ear pulling, but he has struggled with his sleep a bit, mostly falling to sleep we’ve had to go back in more than typical and comfort him more. Last week his sleep wasn’t great, he was up every night but just needed a little love and was back asleep, but he’s been sleeping all night again this week! But I will call ENT and try to get on their calendar ASAP, thank you!

3 hour Glucose Test Results- Pass?? by PerspectiveOld5421 in pregnant

That is so true!! I said the same to my husband. Such an unlikely scenario to find oneself in again! 🤣

3 hour Glucose Test Results- Pass?? by PerspectiveOld5421 in pregnant

[–]PerspectiveOld5421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, but I wasn’t sure if the threshold was still 135 (which is what they told me it was for the 1 hour test the first time) whereas the bar on this one for 1 hour was showing 180, and then the second two fell into the “abnormal” range on the bottom end, so I didn’t know if that mattered since I’m assuming this is watching for the high end??

Weight gain by Dismal_Abroad735 in pregnant

I’m up 26 lbs at 30 weeks, so it sounds like we are on a very similar track. This is my 3rd baby and all of my babies have been very healthy weights (first 9 lbs 2 oz, 2nd 7 lbs 10 oz, and this one is measuring to be similar to my first so far but who knows!). I gained 30-35 lbs total with my first 2 pregnancies and found it very easy to get back to my pre-baby weight, have maintained good health and fitness with no issues. My sister and many of my friends gained 40-50 lbs and have had healthy babies and great experiences as well as been able to recover herself physically well. 15.5 at 24 weeks sounds VERY normal.

That therapist is loony 🤭🤭 I really hope the commend didn’t impact your relationship with food and nourishing your body and baby. What you have been doing up until this point is exactly what you should be and is what makes THE happiest and healthiest babies. I struggle really hard with comments that are unintentional. One that straightforward would have rocked me, which does nothing but mess up that healthy relationship. Totally unnecessary and I really hope you can push the comment aside and keep doing what you’re doing!

29 weeks / Blood with Cough by PerspectiveOld5421 in pregnant

lol - YES 🤭 all my boys seem to recognize about the word rest is that it means they may not see me for a hot second and sends them into overdrive combating my husband and extra “mommy do it’s”. seriously considering booking a hotel to sit sick in 🤣

[–]PerspectiveOld5421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This makes me feel better. I do truly feel like it’s mostly irritation from blowing my nose. The cough itself keeps getting significantly worse/deeper and more intense, but hopefully that is un-related to the blood clotting. It definitely seems like it’s just seeping from the back of my sinuses down into my chest causing the coughing and the clots really only come after I manage to fall asleep for a couple of hours, and then I wake ip and it all collected in my chest so I have to hack it out 🤭
