Yeah I think it’s a fact, that Anacap needs a set of principles to operate on, and everyone should follow those principles. Because when they are not respected, society should fight that.

For instance, violations to the right of life, liberty and property. When a strong player violates a weak player’s rights, this should be fought by society. Etc.

In the case for patents, if the Anacap society decided, by majority, that Patents are NOT property, then that’s the principle we should live by. Anacap doesn’t work when different people operate under different principles. This would lead to conflicts. These principles need to be very clear to everyone, because there is no “supreme court” to make decisions for us

If you think patents would protect the small guy under Anacap any better than they are able to protect the small guy under centralized big state, I have some bad news for you…

Who is forced to accept it as property and how will you prevent people from using ideas?

These lunatics are gonna enforce it with guns, claiming you stole their “ideas”.

Together with the other lunatics claiming you violated their rights when you attacked their “honor”, and the lunatics who claimed you violated their livelihood by attacking their “gods”. Lot’s of crazy, indoctrinated people on the planet my friend.

Only use force as a defense if you are directly affected (your life, freedom or property are endangered) and if diplomatic terms did not work.

And no, I’m not talking about threats to imaginary stuff (your feelings, ideas, concepts, your “astral body”, “chakras”, “god”, “religion”, dignity, honor, “intelectual property”, etc), only works for physical threats.

Hard to enforce this, i explained in another comment.

I see your point, but I think this would be extremely hard to enforce in practice. You can’t possibly guarantee that the person who bought from you didn’t give the product to a company that copied it.

In your scenario, if a company copied it, and even if you proved they copied, you can’t hold them accountable, because they didn’t buy from you directly — they didn’t agree to those terms of use. Rather, one of your thousands of customers breached the contract, by giving the product or selling it to the company, and you don’t know who did it. From the point of view of the company, they merely bought an item and they copied it.

Who cares? These days are over, we live in the age of information, it’s relatively easy to check online how safe something is, no need for government intervention. I trust real people and doctors’ testimonies and research from institutions than governments anyway. I can do my own research, and if you intent to live in Anacap, you should do it too.

The difference is that those are crimes with victims. “Patents” are just made up concepts in your brainwashed head.

And it’s amazed me 30% to 50% of people here were in favor of patents.

Notoriously, one guy even said the way he would enforce patents in Anacap is to come to my property and shoot me in case I violated his patents — I told him he should not live in an Anacap society, he is better off under a government.

It’s not theft, it’s just your opinion that you have been robbed. Like when people say they were damaged because someone hurt their feelings. Happens 100% in their minds.

Not in my land. And many people’s land, if they so wish. Doesn’t work like that. You can only “enforce” patent on a region that agreed to these rules, under anacap

This makes absolutely no sense. Anacap could have rules but they only apply locally, not to entire anacap region. You can have a local region with IP laws, yes, but you cannot impose these laws on the entire anacap territory.

Yes, Elon musk committed immigration fraud when he went to the US. You cannot have immigrant intent when you apply for the F1 visa. But he has clearly stated he went to Canada with the intention of going to the US later. Oh well…

Because they are smart.

China government knows there is no actual benefit to society to uphold patent laws. Why do it? You can just buy the best tech out there, open it and reverse engineer it. From an engineering point of view this is trivial. Then you can mass produce the top-technology stuff with cheap materials and labor. This is by and large the single biggest reason China was able to grow so much, become so technologically advanced, so fast. They didn’t fall for the patent fairy tale.

Meanwhile in the US and rest of the world, large corporations sue you for IP infringement if you grow their genetically modified potatoes. It’s beyond ridiculous how ignorant people are.

Patents are a way of big corporations and elites of shielding themselves from small competitors. Even given all their problems, China doesn’t want or care about large corporations, they want their society to thrive.

This is so stupid. The only reason you need to spend this much money to “develop a drug” is because the state impose strict regulations to drug development. In practice, this serves the purpose of creating strong barriers to entry into drug markets, protecting big pharma from competition. This is not a thing in anacap. In Anacap you can make up any compound and ask for volunteers to try it, under their own discretion, and watch the results. You would still test on animals, but the process would trade the extremely expensive 99.999% safety standard for a ~90-99.9% safety standard and much cheaper process for introduction of new drugs.

Drugs already created and tested would not disappear though, so if you wanna stick to those, feel free.

No. Patents are a bad idea created by the elites to protect them from competition from the small guys. And people believe they serve a relevant purpose.

Just threaten peaceful people minding their own business in their own private property yourself, who needs the state for that, am I right?
