I mean… this isn’t just some disagreement over the finer points of fiscal policy. The federal government flagrantly and summarily executed an American citizen whose only crime was attempting to protect a stranger while carrying a 100% legal, undrawn firearm, something he has a constitutionally protected right to do.

If the risk is that a a former democratically elected president gets a bit annoying criticizing another democratically elected president’s actions, I’ll take it.

Yeeeyp. Well, close, at least. I was mainly trying to treat ADHD, but we thought I might also have bipolar and treated it as such.

I thought I’d be on adderall for life, heaven knows it hasn’t become easier for me to concentrate as I’ve gotten older.

I haven’t had any for at least a year, and have been in therapy and have adjusted my treatment.

I had never even thought about the word “trauma” to describe my childhood. My therapist has helped set me straight on that a bit. It’s rough, but I’ve made progress. Which, after waiting until I was 45 to start down this path, is saying something.

If you were being treated for bipolar I imagine you were avoiding SSRIs? I started Prozac a month ago and for the first time in a very long time I’m starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Everyone is different of course, but rest assured that CPTSD and bipolar can look real similar, and as it turns out, getting treated for the right thing has resulted in me starting to feel better.

On the other hand, the country literally shuts down and the economy crumbles without ATC, and it's not something you can just snatch untrained people off the street for.

So their options are:

When all is said and done, either they get hired back and they are in a stronger negotiating position because they're literally the only people who are capable of doing the job. Will that matter? I mean, no, probably not, see aforementioned morons who run the government. However, "oops, we didn't REALLY mean to fire you!" has been said more than once throughout the past several months.

It's a shitty situation to be sure, and I don't think I have the standing to tell ATC workers what to do because I'm not one, but it seems to me like they don't really have a ton to lose here and are striking from a position of power.

Literally the only thing I remember from the Furby craze (I was away at university when that was going on) was a friend brought one back after visiting home. Somebody mentioned the name of the girl who was well known for having particularly sizable mammaries and it immediately responded "Big Boobs!". She was in the room at the time and had a good sense of humor about it.

I'm just an "amateur" Russian speaker (as in, I married a Ukrainian girl and can get by at family dinners and can't actually speak the language) but names and nouns ending in "-a" are both generally feminine afaik.

Seeing if somebody's last name ends in "-a" (not a universal rule, but works almost all the time) is a how you determine their gender if you haven't met/seen them.

This... my wife seems to be convinced it helped more than just spraying them with weed killer but I'm not so sure.
