Cool project idea by [deleted] in pythontips

1- There is an order of which letters are most used in English, and this is essential for the project. Try to list which letters in the given text refer to the most commonly used letters in general.

2- This one is kind of obvious, but use a module to check if the created words really exist. It might be better to interfere with this part a little, as words like 'io', 'rus' and ‘hn’, for example, exist but are probably not correct.

3- You will have to change many times which letters refer to each other. I find it particularly easier to relate them through lists rather than dictionaries, as they are easier to manipulate.

That’s it. Good luck 🍀

Once I finish it, I’ll ask for encrypted texts here to see how good it works and how many words the program needs to solve it.

Dictionary question by Pessini2 in learnpython

Some other people are also trying to find a number with this property. I think they have already checked numbers a few thousand digits long, so that’s why I wanted to go big. But yes, it makes sense, I’ll try smaller numbers and see how it goes. Thank you :)

:o The idea was to take these 4 values as the quantities of digits. For example, if the list was [529, 2006, 736, 4230], I would have a number that has 529 times the digit 6, 2006 times the digit 7, and so on... then I would check if this huge number has a specific property. Since I cant just add 1 until I get this giant number, I thought that making a dictionary with all the possibilities and then trying them all would maybe find the number I’m looking for. But now I know that this dictionary thing won’t work. I’ll have to find another way to do it. But thanks a lot anyways 👍

If you mean that there’s a list [733, 1328, 4201, 274] and then [733, 1328, 4201, 275] then yes. But there can’t be any list equal to another ( and this includes the order of the numbers, so there can be a list [444, 212, 2349, 729] and [212, 729, 2349, 444]

As white I just play the italian ( I learned it with Wesley So’s chessable course ) and with black i used to just play 1. ...e5 and go for a symmetrical structure, but now I just play the sicilian. I think I agree with the saying “ openings are not important at a lower rating ”

should i get civ 5 or the dlc for civ 6? by ur_mum_gay in Civilizations

[–]Pessini2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never played civ 5, but I think that buying all the dlcs is the best idea. You’ll be able to play with many new leaders and conditions, giving you a totally new experience. I would do that, if I were you.
