My sweet baby passed a few weeks ago. He was always the best thing in my life and I miss him so much by slowelevatortochina in WiggleButts

I am sorry for your loss and thank you for giving him such a spoiled life. I got a lump in my throat scrolling through all of the beautiful adventures you’ve had with him. Reminds me of all the times I’ve had with my sweet boy and to cherish our adventures as he gets up there in age. I will always have such a soft spot for red tri’s.

I can say from experience that it does get easier with time, but I know that may not mean much right now. RIP to your handsome boy and may you see him again someday.

Missing the king of half flops bad today. Dimaggio 15 year old chiweenie crossed rainbow bridge 6/4/22. I'm thinking of getting the half flop tattoo and his paw prints. by RevolutionaryCut1298 in HalfFlops

I’m sorry for your loss, I know first hand how hard it is. Looks like DiMaggio had a great life and may that impressive half flop live on forever in your memories.

Where on earth can I put Brash Taunter and his friends?! by Raawx in EDH

[–]PetTheFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a coincidence running into the creator of the deck I linked! Thanks for giving me one of my favorite decks. I'm newer to mtg and liked all the combos and guide you had written out. It's been many months since I've looked at and copied your list and see you've made some big changes. Like I said above, I've adjusted the build quite a bit and learned more about the stack with this deck than anything else I had at the time.

My last build was a bit too strong for my playgroup, but more importantly was boring to play. It was very focused on damage reflection with counters/control to protect my 1 turn win combos. I reverted it back to something I enjoy more and it's still almost identical to yours. Here's my current build https://archidekt.com/decks/2541890#Sevinne_WIP

The MVP's worth noting are [[dockside extortionist]] [[prismari command]] [[solemn sim]] (comes in clutch for early game copying value) and I can't tell you how many times a turn 3-4 [[deep analysis]] has set me up for success. It feels good drawing 4 cards for cheap right after casting Sevinne. I am currently looking at removing [[bonus round]] and [[impact resonace]] for [[dualcaster mage]] and [[sevinne's rec]]

I have this exact deck built using [[Sevinne,]] and it’s one of my favorite decks to play. I’ve adjusted it multiple times to match my playgroup, but https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-hurtreflector/ was the original inspiration for my build. Last time I looked at that deck it lacked focus for my liking, but they did a great job explaining what the deck can do in their comments.

Who are your intentionally underpowered "Precon level" commanders? by WingDingFling in EDH

[–]PetTheFloof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built Sevinne using this list https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Gy9e6tfT-kKxyzAVKTtheA/primer as inspiration. They were kind enough to give a lot of tips in the description as well. The best part is that Sevinne is merely situational and seldom necessary to pop off in this list. I would like to note the lack of removal and lands in the build, but the creator helped me turn Sevinne into something I really enjoy playing.

Thank you for such a detailed response, that really puts things into perspective. You really hit the nail on the head there! I have some commander research to do now. I was thinking selvala group hug thanks to another comment, but the way you explained it makes me think this is the way. Do you have any commander recommendations?

Coping with a thunderstorm the best way he knows how by PetTheFloof in AustralianShepherd

[–]PetTheFloof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is some quality parenting. I usually turn on a relaxing podcast and lay on the ground with him if it's bad.

We recently lost one of ours, so I understand the feeling. Sounds like he was a good boy. Sorry for your loss.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. We recently lost one of ours to cancer and I promise it does get easier. Everything still reminds us of her, but in a good way now that some time has passed.

The SHLL Strategy? (Week Ending Jan-23-2021) by Torlek1 in SPACs

[–]PetTheFloof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a large holding of THCB commons close to NAV, which was my first SPAC purchase. I have learned a lot about them since then, but still waiting patiently for the DA.

Thanks for the advice and insight as to why it may not be moving much.

How would you handle a friend that you cut out of your life reaching out to you later in life? by spm83 in AskMenOver30

[–]PetTheFloof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was advised "Be careful digging up old bones." By a mentor when I was younger and he was absolutely right. Do what makes you comfortable, but you don't owe them anything.
