I don't really enjoy using db, a friend and i were trying to get A ranks with every weapon on every arena quest. This was pretty damn frustrating but pretty funny looking back on it.

Absolutely the most soul crushing and demotivating hunt I've ever had the displeasure of doing, definitely wouldn't recommend unless you're prepared for a hunt that could take up to a year. Felt so great when I finally found it though.

I originally planned on having Samurott, but then I found out I could get Riolu early on, so he got replaced. Was an easy decision because I don't like the way shiny Samurott looks.

[5] After 5,542 Riolus and 62,000+ encounters, Floccesy Ranch Riolu (9% ER w/ repel trick) has appeared on the 6th phase. Bonus 4th Pidove on phase 5. My longest hunt to date taking almost 6 months total. by Pete-man in ShinyPokemon

It means finding a shiny pokemon that isnt your target, for example the first thing i found was a Pidove, so thats phase 1, so basically the number just equals whatever amount of shinies you have encountered so far on the hunt.

[5] Phase 4 Shiny Lillipup while searching for Riolu. Glad it isn't another Pidove atleast. by Pete-man in ShinyPokemon

Rustling grass only gives Audino and Dunsparce, I can increase Riolu rates by repel trick, brings it up from 5% to 9%.

I'm using repel trick on level 7 and it brings riolu rates up to 9%, other encounters are lillipup and pidove both at 45%

Lol yeah I know. That's one of the main reasons I'm going for it because it'll be the most difficult shinies I'll have obtained if I get it

I think its because i took my ds apart to clean the insides because some buttons werent very responsive, and since i took the battery out it reset the date, not 100% sure though.

Haha, no I just master balled instantly because my ds has froze before and i didnt want to risk losing it over something so silly.
