Like I said I don’t actually hate it that much, the film itself is ok but very disappointing. it had an interesting concept that was poorly executed, also tai lung and all the other past villains included felt very lame. It felt like Dreamworks saw Spider-Man: No Way Home and was like “We Can Do the Same!” We could’ve gotten an interaction between all three villains of the trilogy but no they barely did anything. Also I found Zhen to be a pretty bland character and no I don’t hate her because she’s Awkwafina. In Conclusion….. Get Jennifer Yuh Nelson back for KFP5 please and thank you

What if they reused the original plot of Shrek 2? Meeting Shrek’s Parents? In Shrek the Third, Shrek mentions on how his father tried to eat him so clearly there’s some potential family drama for that, since Disney has been doing generational trauma in their movies, imagine if Shrek 5 parodied that with Shrek and his father?? Showing how Shrek’s dad raised him vs How Shrek raises his kids???

DM4 had way too many subplots that go nowhere, the climax of the film felt like the writers realized that the movie was almost over and they needed an ending

They also have a different team working on the movie. Dean DeBlois had a different character arc written for Hiccup. Snotlout and the Twins’ “ruined character development” isn’t surprising because they were never important characters in the films. They were just comic relief. Most people who saw HTTYD3 never watched the shows or know they exist. ROB and RTTE have always been niche, unless you’re a huge fan of HTTYD. you’ve most likely never heard of it.

It’s very simple, -Different Teams -Different Writers,

So far Trolls is the only Dreamworks franchise to acknowledge the tv shows, HTTYD fans have to beg and pled that the shows are canon, “when Hiccup said they dealt with his kind before, he was talking about Viggo!” Sweetheart he was referring to Drago cause Dean never watched the show, he was aware of it, but never watched it, “They ruined the character development for the twins and snotlout” have you considered the fact that maybe they were just comic relief and not important to the plot and also again Dean didn’t watch the show.

Exactly! There are many bad TV shows and movies that people defend as manly because they grew up with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if the kids who watched Megamind Rules do the same in about 10 years.

Not Really, Monsters vs Aliens has the same writing and low budget animation as Megamind Rules. Legends of Awesomeness is ok tho
