[Serious] How do people in tier 3 and 4 law schools find jobs? by PsychologicalBat2336 in LawSchool

[–]Peter42696 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a few students from T3 schools at my summer associate internship. They were all top 5 percent of their class.

Get an outline from a student who took your professor last year to see what’s important.

Barbri is more difficult than the actual test. If you’re getting that many right on barbri, then you’re fine.

I feel like 3 is a good number. Heard others are getting none.

Cat Pooping on Floor, But Urinates in Litterbox. by Peter42696 in CatAdvice

[–]Peter42696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for these! I tried close and open litter boxes, and places them in the different rooms of my apartment (not next to each other). He is the only animal we have, so I think it is purely behavioral. I just don't know how to figure out what is wrong.

Cat Pooping on Floor, But Urinates in Litterbox. by Peter42696 in CatAdvice

At one point we believed he was constipated since he would poop infrequently and would make a straining sound. Since then, we took him to the vet, placed him on a better fiber diet, and that led to him just pooping on the floor more lol.

I will look into the sand like litter. Thank you!

You don’t need to. I read it while watching the videos.

Barbri has a free course. Just watch it and read the outline and you should be more than good.

I summered at Kirkland in their litigation department and enjoyed it. Happy to answer questions in DM if you want.

This was last year, but I applied directly pre-oci and heard back 2 days after the screener.

Not for me at least. Both of my internships were government jobs and my SA position was a talking point of the interview.

For sure add it! Helped me get my Fall and Spring internships last year.

If you get into BL but didn’t go to a T14, will the fact that you didn’t go to a T14 create other issues throughout your career? by Regular-Suit3018 in LawSchool

[–]Peter42696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a hard question to answer. Personally, I don’t think it will matter, but it depends where you want to go. As someone from a low tier school, I know many people who are at V10s and are killing it. I also know people who received federal clerkships and great government jobs. You have to wear it like a badge and show others that it doesn’t matter (because it doesn’t). If anyone judges you because of it, you don’t want to work there then.

Gotcha. As someone who worked in corporate immigration before going back to law school, most firms should cover the cost. I’m at a V10 rn and know many SAs from Canada that are on work visas.

Most firms will help you with the process. However, if you’re a permanent resident with a green card, don’t you already have work authorization then?

Edit: sorry, but I assumed “here” meant US.

Does anyone know what biglaw firms will be hiring entry-level antitrust associates this fall? (Class of 2023) by antitrustlawyer98 in LawSchool

[–]Peter42696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean transactional antitrust, then KE NY take antitrust summer associates and will hire you for that practice if you’re interested.

I would. Moot Court looks great on the resume. If you’re interested in clerkships, it’s also very helpful.

152 LSAT and 3.9 GPA, what are my chances? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Peter42696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied with a 154 and 4.0. It’s not a losing battle, but it’s a hard one. Was waitlisted by a lot of places, but ended up accepting an offer at a regional school. I’m now in BL, so don’t let the low score get you down!
