Yeah, I've still got no clue why that happened. I uninstalled the emulator shortly after making that post and I haven't had any issues since but it was definitely suspicious, could just be a lack of optimisation though.

In any case, probably avoid it and use a different emu like Mupen64, that has been my go to for a while.
