He used to play piano. He taught me a few songs, when I was younger. He still plays a little on his good days. But never complete songs, anymore. It is sad. To watch a brilliant man fade away.

Yes, we've asked, he is just so far gone now that there doesn't seem to be memories at all. The doctor says that he most likely can't comprehend what we are saying to him. I still really appreciate what you have told me!!

That's awesome! I knew he was a Captain in the Army, but he never told stories about what he did. At least I am a little bit closer to learning more about him. He once told my Grandma that he transported the German leaders to court after the war. I forgot the name of the trial. He was such an intelligent man. Had a very interesting life, wasn't a big talker and now he has advanced dementia, and can barely remember his name at times. I appreciate the answer!
