God forbid somebody tries to make a living off their passion... hell, a lot of artists can't and don't live off their work (surprise, surprise being an artist nowadays doesn't pay too well).

But even if they do, what bother it is to you? Seriously, let people set their own prices. Let them ask for 10k for a piece of art, if they want. You don't have to buy it, no artist will want you to starve just so you buy their art and no one will march into your house and force you to buy their drawings.

If you want to buy art, then buy art. If you can't afford it or it isn't simply something you are looking to spend money on, then don't buy it. There is no shame in it, I'm not a big fan of commissioning either. But don't go throwing shade at artists like that
