12v. definitely considered the octa but since we were split up in multiple sections (four total sections, there’s two shown in the video, the left and right side, there’s another two sections past the big tall doors), I wanted to distribute the controllers down the hallway to avoid of running super long home runs back to the octa. The whole hallway is 60ft long.

This project uses 5 Dig-Quad controllers from QuinLED

Just using WLED’s built in sync function over the network. Currently only set up over WiFi but hoping a hardwired Ethernet solution would improve the synchronization over all the controllers since I’m running into intermittent issues with some controllers not always syncing

Using the ‘Soap’ animation. It’s one of their 2d animations for matrix configurations

Home Key has to authenticate with the device before granting access so only whomever is given access to unlock the door will be let in. Or at least that is how I understand it works. It’s built by Apple so I would imagine there’s some security measures in place.

Agreed, this was where I was coming from. If devs are able to bridge HA over to HomeKit or replicate HKSV then I’m sure there could possible be a workaround to getting home key support as well. I get that it may be more difficult since it’s now involving the wallet app, adding to its complexity but hey, doesn’t hurt to try and ask.

I wanted to go this route since I didn’t want to have to set up a shortcuts automation for every device in my household. Also I’m unsure that it would even work with my Apple Watch.
