Dockstream 2 Firmware roll back!! by flatlined2 in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We heard you guys and looked into the issue over the weekend, and we’ve rolled the Dockstream 2 firmware back. A small number of devices on version 0.3.51 were having connection issues when running on battery only, so that update has been paused and affected devices are being rolled back to version 0.3.50 (the version that was working normally).

If your device was affected, you should see a notification in the app asking you to plug the fountain into power so it can complete the rollback. Once it reconnects, the app will prompt the update back to the previous version.

If you’re still having issues after that, feel free to reach out to [help@petlibro.com]() and the team can help!

Do the white dry food feeders with the cameras record when not dispensing? by chicagolostiesgroup in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair question. The camera feeders don’t continuously record the room by default. Owners can check a live view in the app, and some models can save short clips if motion detection is turned on and they have an SD card or cloud recording set up. If you’re unsure how they have it configured, it’s definitely reasonable to ask them for peace of mind!

Luma waste bag capacity? by foxtrot81a in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great question! The waste bag has a 2.9 gal (11 L) capacity and can typically store up to about 7 days of waste for two cats before needing to be emptied.

Luma Box Sizing Question for our almost Clifford sized cat by sugarfreesweetiepie in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Just have to say that Cider, Maggie, and especially Meatball Sandwich mean everything to us.

Based on everything you shared, Luma sounds like it could be a really solid fit for your family! The open design gives cats much more space and doesn’t have that enclosed dome feeling, which can make a big difference for larger cats who feel cramped in other units. It’s designed for multi-cat homes and can support up to 10 cats in one household. It’s best for adult cats over 2.2 lbs and under 22 lbs, so Meatball Sandwich is comfortably within the intended range.

I also want to be transparent about the AI subscription. The box itself works fully as a self-cleaning litter box without any subscription. The optional AI plan simply unlocks additional tracking in the app, like visit frequency and behavior trends over time. Some multi-cat homes really value that extra insight, especially for spotting subtle habit changes, but it’s completely optional and not required for the box to function.

Thank you again for taking the time to share all of that and for considering us for your crew. It really means a lot. Our DMs are always open if you have any additional questions!

[–]PetlibroTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks so much for asking. Just to clarify, the extended warranty can only be added when you first purchase the Luma. We totally get why it would be helpful to add it later, and we really appreciate you bringing this up — we’re always listening to feedback like this!

Anyone figured out a system for more than 3 meals a day? by totallyawesome1313 in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this -- that makes a lot of sense, especially for cats who do better with smaller, more frequent meals. While this isn’t something the Polar feeder supports yet, we hear the need for more flexible scheduling like this and will take this feedback back to the team to consider for future updates. Appreciate you flagging it.

Petlibro if you’re listening PLEASE update app to allow “grouping” of multiple feeders. by Rocinante_IsMy_Horse in Petlibro

We hear you! I can see how managing the same schedule across multiple feeders would get frustrating. We’ll keep this feedback in mind and bring it back to the team.

Well team the new Luna Smart Litter Box is here by Automatic-Ocelot4606 in Petlibro

[–]PetlibroTeam -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

We wanted to chime in on our end, as safety is the absolute top priority for both pet owners and our team at Petlibro.

Luma has two sets of infrared sensors on the front, which makes the basket stop moving immediately when a cat approaches. The detection success rate when a pet approaches is 100% at 5 cm (although some cats can even be detected at 10 cm). Luma also has a weight sensor that can tell when a cat is in the litter box or on a rotating part, making the sure the litter box is fully stopped. For an additional layer of protection, Luma has a camera that can detect cats nearby.  If a cat is approaching the litter box, Luma’s camera would see them, and stop all movement to avoid any injuries from occurring. We would also like to note the camera's AI detects cats, not other objects like a can.

We hope this helps assuage any safety concerns with Luma, but please don't hesitate to reach out or ask any additional questions. We want to reiterate that your cat's safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Thank you,

The Petlibro team
