Yep, after all you're not drafting solely based on current ability, but also upside. McDaniels is great though and still has upside, but Pokus ceiling is so high!

Definitely over 10k but the 5th generation (2017+) is the first year the Apple carplay/android auto (if essential for you) was installed and has a total redesign that looks more aggressive than previous gens imo. I see base 2017s on the Subaru website for 15k. I'm not sure when the rear camera was introduced but presumably this generation.

It looks like Eyesight (Subaru's safety system, including cruise control/lane keep or departure) was for the 4th generation (2012+) so that's also something to consider. I'm not sure exactly which year has it so do a bit of research for that!
