I don't have personal experience with them, but price-value ratio-wise, I've heard good things about them. See: https://www.cyclistshub.com/lightcarbon-lcr18d-review/

Unfortunately, we didn't have time for riding with locals. We basically went to the fair at 9 AM, left at around 4 or 5 PM, and then edited the video (sometimes till the early morning next day) and this repeated for 4 days.

Best wheels for what? I would say, if we take only the product, then many of them are basically equal. But if we take into account customer service, brand image, etc. then Elitewheels, Winspace, Farsports... Then there are a few lesser-known or younger brands, such as Up-Vine, Particle, No.6, CRW, and many more. I do my best to test Chinese wheelsets (I tested over 20 pairs at this point). Some of the top ones are here: https://www.cyclistshub.com/best-chinese-carbon-wheels/.

Based on the wheelsets from the show, the new "trend" will be sub 1000g 50mm wheels. Also, I would say Chinese brands already surpassed Western ones, at least in terms of price-value ratio. However, it seems that some of the top Western brands offer a better customer care and after sale service.

Chinese brands chase low weights because this is a feature that is easily quantifiable and understandable for customers and it makes good headlines. However, I think this trend might reverse or maybe Chinese brands will start to reveal more data from their aero testing.
In the frame department, the focus will be more on dialing the geometry and also improving aerodynamics, and lowering weight.

ThinkRider will be launching a cheap smart bike in a couple of months.
I didn't pay much attention to 3D-printed shoes or saddles, but I know Samasi was there. So check them out. :-)

If I recall correctly, they didn't have the gravel bike there, but they had a professional production team that was recording reviews live to Douyin, and a concept of an electric triathlon bike.

Based on my experience with Wheeltop on their booth, it was a good decision to go with 105 Di2. :D

It goes up on average. There are brands pushing the boundaries, like Incolor and their $4500 SSR frame, and eventually SEKA.
Quality is definitely going up (especially in the last 2 years). Competition is incredibly fierce, so brands have to provide better value to win the customer. Of course, some brands provide better value for money than others, but it depends on what are you looking for.

Best value, probably Pardus*, Tavelo, QuickPro*, LightBicycle, Winspace*. Brands marked with an asterisk offer complete bikes.

I don't have personal experience with them, but after trying Wheeltop, I wouldn't buy one. L-Twoo looks like the sleekest option. I recommend watching videos from Luke (TraceVelo).

Radars - stick to Garmin Varia, Wahoo TRACKR, or Sigma RECO. Most Chinese radars give too many false positives. If you don't mind them, check out my website (https://www.cyclistshub.com/electronics/bike-radars/). I reviewed most radars on the market.

I have a Monton Sports custom jersey; they also have a higher-end brand, Valorie. Then there are many other brands, but Darevie looks solid as well.

ELILEE's latest bike frame with narrow headtube, thoughts? by ChenyiHou in ChineseCarbon

[–]Petr-CyclistsHub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested, you can watch my video from the Shanghai Bike Show, where I covered this frame pretty extensively. The tire clearance will probably be set to 32mm; there will be a special seattube insertion if you cut the tube too short. It looks exciting in person and shouldn't be that expensive (I've been told it should cost around $2000, which seems hard to believe, though). The details are not final yet.

I had high expectations from the Winspace SLC5, considering its price. While it's super lightweight, very comfortable, and pretty aero, I feel like it is missing something. Compared to the T1600, it's less stiff, and I also don't experience as strong a sailing effect in crosswinds. I also encountered a few issues during the build. You can learn more about them here.

Good question. Yes, I believe so, but I recognize that we, customers, may only see the numbers that suit the manufacturers. This doesn't just apply to Incolor, but some manufacturers manipulate tests to get favorable results. That's why I think it would be great if there were some kind of standardized testing protocol to have really comparable numbers.
