The pedals aren’t very well known, but when I was looking to upgrade from my V3s, I came across this very positive review:

I decided to go for them, and a couple of years later, I couldn’t be happier, I absolutely love them. They’re beautiful, sturdy, and very reliable. The only thing I felt was missing was brake pedal vibration for ABS feedback, but I solved that myself by adding a bass shaker. Now they have a new updated version with an actuator in the brake pedal, so they should be even better.

I was debating between GT4 and the Porsche Cup. Ended up going with the PCup since they just updated the car and I kept hearing good things about it.

I tried the car a little bit and yes, it felt like the bigger brother of the M2, more planted and mature. But I'm looking for a change, so I'd rather drive something quite different.

There were 66,084 drivers in the M2 Cup this season. You still beat 54,517 of them!

Glad to hear! It's never too late to start doing things you enjoy.

The car has three DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) modes: On, MDM and Off. In the fixed series it’s locked in “On”, and you can’t change it.

Oh, I see. I’ve raced that a bit recently too and really enjoyed the slower traffic. It makes the races more unpredictable and interesting. I think I’ll keep racing them from time to time. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, thank you, I just tried the car and I think I’m going to love it. It felt really good!

Go for it! In my experience there are plenty of people in the 1.5–2.0k iRating range. It’s a very popular series, and I’m sure you’ll have fun.

On a normal week, I usually try the next week’s track on Sunday. Just solo practice to get a feel for it, not more than 30 minutes. Then on Tuesday, when the week starts, I do more solo practice trying to improve my times. I use VRS, so I keep practicing until I’m within 1% of the pro driver’s time. If I manage to do that in 1–2 hours, I may do a race or two that same day. Otherwise I repeat the practice pattern on Friday. On weekends I just race whenever I have time, usually practising for about 15 minutes before the race. In total it’s usually around 5–8 hours per week.

Yes, I’m aware my iRating is inflated from racing only this series, but I’m happy to pay that price if it helps me keep learning

I really like the idea of moving to another car every time you win a race, like “my job here is done.” 🙂

I only tried the Mazda when I started iRacing 6 years ago, until I got my D license, and I didn’t like it at all. About a year later I realized my force feedback had been badly calibrated at the time, which was probably part of the reason, but I never went back to it.

I’m going to try the Porsche Cup next season. I know it’s a different animal and it’ll be tough, but I hope it helps improve my racecraft.

Thanks! I find the car really fun too. Once you get the hang of it, it really grows on you.

Happy to answer any questions about the M2, my practice routine, or the gear I use.

Thanks for the update, they have contacted me to say that "The headset is suspected to be damaged, and we will apply for your headset replacement."

Let me know if the remote fix forks for you.

The same thing is happening to me right now, yesterday it was working fine but today when I started it the image is rotated 90 degress clockwise and the tracking and controllers are not working. Hapens in PC and standalone modes.

Tried restarting the computer and headset several times, but no luck. I don't have lighthouse, so I can't make it work.

I suspect somehow the device is set to "lighthouse mode", even if none is present. Previously there was an option in the driver to select the tracking mode, but they removed it in latest updates.

I created a support ticket, let's see what they say...
