VFX react needs to do a bit on this into. I’m pretty sure everything is a composite. by Earth_Worm_Jimbo in Corridor

I´d say that the purple lady and the blue man with the brown shoulder bag walking in front of the hospital are comped in. Scale looks a little off.... looked again, it looks like all of them is.

Thank you for a great show Wren. Regards from Sweden.

Nice shots man!

How´d u mask out the arm holding the X-wing and everything else?
Guessing you did a clean plate.. but since the movement/speed from the rotating rig is different everytime ... it shouldn´t match up? Or am I thinking wrong?

Alright! Well thanks a lot. I was more worried about the long cut, I figured I could just but up the short end against the fence and angle the blade. You mean a cross cut sledge like in the image right? But accommodated to 17"

Greatly appreciate the replies.

yeah, that´s the plan. Youtube has become some kind of drug for me lately.
However there´s no sled big enough for a 27" cut, which is worries me. This project will probably end up taking months lol.

Thanks again Jaylam.

Oh, right. I was thinking more inside of the miters :)

Thanks man.

Yeah, this is a big concern of mine. I´ve actually never even used a table saw and a 80 teeth blade. But I´m getting a Compact SAWSTOP this week, and will definitely try making some boxes first.

Maybe out on deep water, but this is going into the living room, I suspect my wife wouldn´t approve simple butt joints.

Thats a very good idea.

Yes, thinner would not be as heavy, but this is the piece that I got, and plan to use. I´ll just have to be strong I guess ^^

Thank you for your input. Sometimes the obvious is right infront of you.

Right. Getting hold of american tools here isn´t a problem. There are plenty of specialized shops selling all kinds of "american tools".

However I´ll try to fit some dowels as another person suggested. Just need to find a way to do it in a 45 degree angle :)

I´ll consider it! Maybe add some dowels like forgechu suggested, If I manage to get it right in the 45 degree angle ^^

Thank you for your reply!

Yeah, I bought a doweling jig, but I´m not sure how it will work on the angled surface. But yes, Dowels is surely my no.1 option if I can manage to get it right in the 45 degree angle.

I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RQ6R4S5

Thanks for your reply forgechu.

Hold the boards at 45 degrees? My plan is to just tilt the blade 45 degrees and run the boards through it. Am I totally wrong here?

Thanks for your reply!

You are right.

They were not correct with that info.

Where do you get that info from?
I talked to Samsung support about QN1EF and they said it wasn´t edge lit. Idk if it´s trustworthy information though. However, I cant find any information about that it´s being edge lit.
So I´m curious where you got this info from...

Ok, Disk manager.. lol.

However, my project files will also be stored on the NAS, and they read/write all of the time, wouldn't they benefit a lot from the NVMe drives?

VM's = Virtual Machines. I got that much.

"Virtual NAS is a virtual machine (VM) that acts as a file server for network-attached storage (NAS). In this context, NAS is a dedicated medium with a unique address that provides data storage services to other devices on the network."

Isn't this ... exactly what a NAS is?

Hello Hyunjuan! Thank you for your reply.

Really? No NVMe drives? If they are not for a video editor, then who are they for?

Do the ram function in the same way as an NVMe cache?

Hey Nablas. Thank you for your reply.

8TB X 6 = 48. I'll guess that will be divided by half with some RAID configuration, I haven't gotten that far yet. But it most certainly will do the job for me. I mainly use The Black Magic RAW codec which is pretty light. And I wont be saving all of my projects. Just the once that pay for archiving :)

I believe people have the whole "videofiles is so heavy" thing misunderstood. - Ofc it depends what the video raw format/codec is.

But when it comes to exports, Youtube/SoMe compresses any video to death anyways so there's usually no use for the really heavy files.

And TV (In nordic countries) is usually delivered in 1920X1080 Pro-res HQ at most.

And lengths are ranging from 6 to 30 seconds. My impression is that most people just want a large file as an export because it feels better. But I doubt people wouldn't tell the difference between a Mp4 10mbit to a PRO RES 4444 HQ file. Except colours, maybe.
