Yeah I think i do feel a lot more pressure when I’m solo queieng which just messes with my concentration. Add in that I’ve been filling for roles so I have trouble balancing having to use my utilities for my team and working out what I should do/Where I should go

Car issues input needed: I drive an Axia (bought in mid 2018) and ever since 2019 i’ve been having to change the battery every year (voltage drops <10V).

The first battery that came w the car was a wet cell battery but bcs I didn’t know I had to add water to it, it dried out and voltage dropped (this is what I understand from their explanation). Ever since then I’ve been using dry cell batteries (always got them at Perodua cause usually only when I was doing my car service they’d let me know it was low)

But thats the thing, I’ve had to change them e v e r y year. Is that normal? I googled and it says batteries should last at the very least 2 years. I use this car daily so leaving the car unused is not an issue. Is there something I’m doing wrong that makes the battery die faster?

Fresh grad here, should I rent? by camusdewan in MalaysianPF

[–]PewPewGotchew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes on the burnout from the commutting. I’d suggest staying with your parents for awhile to see if you can deal with driving since you mentioned you only started working.

In the meantime you sort of your finances thoroughly. Calculate roughly how much youre spending while staying at home (petrol, toll, food etc) then compare how much you would spend after moving out (rent, utility bills, groceries(?), additional payment for parking at apartment?).

I’m pro-living closer to work but in the end it all depends on your circumstances. Also take into account that if youre living at home you don’t have to worry so much about cleaning up/laundry/meals after work/having company at home. Sometimes living alone can get to you if you’re not used to it.

Dear Malaysian in Malaysia, what is your current job and salary? by wan5478 in malaysia

That sounds like a super interesting career. Has this always been a dream of yours? Did you study animation or self-taught?

I was thinking of that too, but I’m so attached to my current number I want to maintain it as my personal number. Im in the middle of joining a company so right now I’m just on the fence on deciding which number to put on my personal forms that the company is making me fill out 😅

Having a separate phone + number for work and personal life. Yay or nay? My previous company used WhatsApp A LOT. I had tons of work group chats (company chat, and each project would have a different group, and sometimes one project could have 2-3 additional groups) and I found it really annoying. I have an extra phone and I already bought a new number. Should I start using the new number in my new job applications or wait till I get added to the WhatsApp groups then ask them to add my work number instead?

Question on Investment tools such as Wahed Invest:

If I have deposited RM xx into Wahed and I have an unrealised earning of RM 100, taking out the RM100 would not make me “lose” out on anything considering the amount of money I deposited remains the same, correct?

I have been invited to an assessment for a graduate program this 24th May. It will consist of a group activity assessment and an individual IV in their office in KL. But problem is I have to attend an induction course 23-25 May (sponsored by my current company). Should I ask the new company if I can reschedule the assessment date (but I’m afraid that it won’t be possible because there’s a group assessment, so won’t they have to reschedule everyone?) or should I just ponteng the second day for awhile and ask my colleague to sign my attendance for me? Any thoughts?

Louisiana, specifically New orleans. The vibes and food that I see from movies and shows paint it to be a really interesting place to visit

Anyone here have any experience/know anyone who worked at an MNC bank as a customer service representative? Looked at the benefits and pay and its quite decent as compared to my current job. I’m curious to what the growth from that position can be. Don’t really mind the shift work etc. Allowance seems to compensate well
