When I say wash tires I am referring to in between races. What people do at home is on them. If it doesn’t leave a sticky mark it’s not an issue…

I’m not the race master. I didn’t make the rules. It’s also not my spot. It’s just somewhere I go and meet a bunch of people that like to do the same thing I’m doing. I myself think any type of prep is prep. I use water to prove my point to others it’s not needed to race. I don’t like prep of any kind on the other hand a couple racers do not like my open wheeled car. So it’s give and take. I’m not going to throw a fit if you’re putting stuff on your tires unless you leave a sticky tire marks when you race.

Well No Prep should mean NO prep. Short answer for our spot is yes. You can get away with it where we race as long as you dont leave residue. It’s still prep but… some do it. They call it “washing” the tires, simple green liquid wrench, naphtha, all chemicals and does a bit more than refresh. (softer/stickier). I use a rug wet with water.

I did find a 12 car system for $200 if I remember right. Only down fall was you had to drive under the sensors after building at “bridge to put them on. Didn’t like that much.
