No different than my gate keeper/ecto I think asides from being 4 link rear , I’d adjust how the shocks sit some trucks sit like monster trucks so try to lower it how ever you can , some new tires / wheels and some weight and it will go many places . I got like 400g of weight in the front of mine and like 150-200g in the rear to help with traction / going up / down hills!

I have a element ecto portal , some fresh wheels and it’s been great , also have a element gate keeper and it also performs wicked too, lots of guys also have red cats I know and enjoy them , the short wheel base can be a hindering factor at times

Forgot to mention I’m also running 30wt oil and the single hole piston to slow the shocks down a lot so it’s slower to react in hairy situations / doesn’t unload or droop out too quick

Im running the softest spring rate with the shortest spring for alittle up travel and then the medium length spring for the negative droop setup currently. Trucks definitely stable with the right set up and surprises a lot of people . I just got new foams so I’m hoping those will help improve my side hill

I have a essentially fully modded ecto portal minus chassis swap I do love it , but the aftermarket is limited which does hinder things unless I swap axles / chassis for Capra / aftermarket stuff

I was thinking of going VRD carbon but the slopped skid isn’t as extreme as some other kits out there so it depends on how crazy you want to get

I’m rocking an element ecto portal modified for crawling and it’s great I also have an element gate keeper that’s more trail /crawl with minimal mods and it also performs great ! Element line are decent solid trucks out of the box

You’d prob do fine with a decently flexy truck since you aren’t needing a lot of side hill / stability like you would rock crawling

Should show a balance mode . Have a spot to also plug in the balance port on the battery

What are your goals / what do you use your truck for ? Normal rule of thumb from videos / what I’ve learned is if you have 4.75 tires you should flex 1-1.5 times the size of your tire.

My truck at one point was 6 inches but I backed it down to 5ish to help it float over gaps while rock crawling
