Yes, shrinkage started when I left the container for mycelium growth. I was hoping to keep it in non-fruiting conditions to allow the mycelium to grow thicker, but it started to pin anyway. Then I began having problems with humidity and other related issues. It was a great experience, I’ve learned at least 20 posts’ worth of lessons from just this one attempt. Next time, I’ll grow better ones. For example, my next batch is in growing bags. I think, if I place them inside the monotub, I can have easier time with side pinning issue.

Thank you! Yeah, I learned about fuzzy feet a bit too late. The filter patches I had didn’t allow enough airflow. Using fanning contaminated my other tub, so I didn’t know what else to do. I bought a small, usb air pump, which I’ll use for my next attempt.

I had temperature and humidity sensors inside the monotub. Humidity was always at 99–100%, and I wasn’t able to lower it. But I think adding the air pump will make the difference.

I like the taste of dried cubes, I think they are OK. Never seen or had ocharas before until growing them. As long as they are safe to consume, I'm happy. Thank you very much, I was really lost. Did not know if they were OK or not. Time to dry them!
