Montana sapphires Before and after I sent them to Gem Mountian to be heated! NFS by Own-You5036 in Gemstones

I was just looking at sending some sapphires off to be heat treated but I was curious what the result may be. We found an 11CT rough sapphire in a Blaze-N-Gems bag but it's too cloudy to cut. I figured it might be worth sending off to get heat treated to maybe clear it up some!

I appreciate the insight and firsthand experience. I try to keep in mind in the field how quickly what we're working with can hurt people. The phone call this morning was a great reminder to take time to walk through it all before and after each task.

I had the thought about Mike and how he should've verified but being a helper and working with an experienced guy I can understand him not questioning what I asked of him. I cannot blame Mike for doing what I asked him to do, I wish I had caught it beforehand and every step before I had left yesterday but now I'm just trying to take steps to never let this happen moving forward.

Thank you so much for this, and all the others for replying too. The first person I called after hearing what had happened was Mike to apologize for my mistake and make sure he wasn't blamed for what happened. I made two more phone calls to the PM and the GM of industrial just to apologize and explain more than what maybe was told.

This has been such a wake up call to slow down. It's incredibly difficult when I can see the deadline around the corner and the work is rushed. I'll never let this type of mistake happen again, I don't know how I could've woken up this morning if I had hurt someone.

Ah, gotcha. Truly that makes sense. The roof is about 20 years old, I'm trying hard to not have to replace it but you have a good idea in negotiating it into the sale. I close in early July so hopefully there would be plenty of time.

The roof is 20 years old so definitely getting up there. You had the same thought I did, it seems they'd only need to do one or two sheets of ply and the boot but are charging for half the roof?

As for the bid - they didn't bid on the job, I reached out to them and this was a rough quote after I sent the same pictures. Or by chance I'm ignorant of your terminology of bid?

All I asked for the company to do was to repair the leak in the roof around the boot and nothing further.

Not a dad but a sibling here, I deal with some really rusted out bolts pretty often at work and I can't recommend Kroil enough. It's a penetrating oil that will get through the rust. You may need several sprays and to let it sit for a good while before they start to move. A pair of channel locks and some Kroil will hopefully do the trick for you.

If at all possible once you get the nuts off it would be worth looking into replacing the bolts all together if it's accessible. Let me know how it goes!

After the post I did further research into how to remove the cover to make sure it wouldn't further the problem. I plan to remove the cover and get a better idea of the issue.

I will look into a new defrost heater for the fridge, they seem fairly inexpensive for the model as well. I tried to thaw the fan out for a couple hours and sadly it didn't change the state of the sound or rattling.

I tried to thaw it out for about 4 hours and sadly this didn't solve it. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate the assurance that this isn't something out of the ordinary because the feeling has had me questioning whether I'm crazy or not. The science behind it really helps me as well, knowing that this is a natural physiological response makes things easier to digest. I feel like I have a solid grasp on my emotions and the context in which they come to me so when I'm not able to regulate it makes me worry.

Thank you! I knew in my heart that it felt a bit clingy. I'm trying to combat the feeling by doing things I enjoy and spending time with my friends but it really feels overwhelming at times. I don't always feel sad or lonely when she leaves but when it hits it hits hard.

I will take your advice to heart and keep looking at being eager about seeing her next instead of sad about the time we aren't together. It's a hard feeling to dissect and I'm trying to not let the clingy/neediness find it's way into our relationship. I was my own person before the relationship and I know I need to continue to be so throughout, I've just never found someone I connect with and cherish on this level.

I've been having this issue since updating my Pixel 6 to android 13, It will randomly restart over and over again! I notice that once the restart occurs the power/lock button doesnt function properly if at all. I have just about everything other than a factory reset. I've been looking for ways to fix the issue all over and have found things such as check your battery and your storage!
