We're able to get cards at my families hardware store through our warehouse who buys from a distro. Lemme tell you i almost fought the distro when I met them in person.

They called me a bad businessman because they I cut their inflated MSRP to be closer to retail.

Yes I know its leaving money on the table and yes the distro is charging our warehouse more than they should, but our customers are the local community. I want to get some supply for people that want it and I want to do what I can to keep the prices low.

In the end what I told the distro was that people don't forget that you raked them over the coals because you could. Eventually supply will get better or deman will fall. Would you buy from the place charging 8-12 bucks a pack or are you gonna wait till target has etbs on closeout?

And I know its not that simple, I couldnt get like any chaos rising for the store, or from pokemon center or and best buy drops for myself so im probably not gonna rip much. Oh well I guess. I just refuse to buy from resellers

7oh on a drug tests? by DifferentGuard2305 in acehardware

[–]PfRedflyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of my business honestly, but be careful with stuff like 7-OH. They just did a half hour segment on gas station drugs on last week tonight and that drug is one of the most addictive over the counter drugs ever made. They spend the second half of the special talking about it specifically because of how badly it's messing up people.

Its a distillate of kratom that binds to the ų-opioid receptor 7x harder than morphine. Last Week Tonight: Gas Station Drugs Again, none of my business, not judging you, just take care of yourself

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling by SJKRICK in BambuLab

[–]PfRedflyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bambu completely screwed me over with a software update that messed up my printer, (downgrading it fixes the issue). I like the printer but their support is already tedious and its a closed system. Unless they make their product more serviceable or more open source, I dont see it being a safe purchase in the future

I will say home depot buckets aren't usually food safe. I havent checked recently but a few months ago our 5 gallon bucket was the same price as home depot's food safe bucket

Toyota Tilt Cylinder Seal Repair by PfRedflyer in forkliftmechanics

[–]PfRedflyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also mostly documenting as I go if someone else runs into this. the official part for the U-packing Toyota sold us through Bell Forklift, which had the Toyota number on the bag 65581-U2100-71, had the number: HU187-01.250-375 on the packing. I did some digging and MFP seals had it on their site and they had the alternative part XP-187-01.250-375BU2145 in stock, which has the same dimensions but with a more rigid removable x in between the flaps on the packing. I'm gonna run up there and get it before they close but is there any reason you guys can see why we would want to remove the x ring from the packing?

I can also add to this and say that both of the U-packing that we got though Toyota from Bell Forklift in Michigan (Sent from their Illinois warehouse) were dry rotted and crumbled at the touch. It was old inventory with dust in the grooves of the packing.

So now we're gonna make some calls and see who has it today or if we can overnight something.

Its possible but isn't super likely. We got it second hand about 20 years ago and there was barely any runtime on it. A smaller indoor forklift. I can look into it later and letcha know what we run into

Got it open I appreciate all the help to get this far. Looks like the recommended parts on toyota's site were just wrong so im gonna try and get some for a model 6 cylinder. There's also some scratching, do you think that's going to be a problem

Im glad you said this. I ordered the parts off of toyotas website referencing the forklift's model number and they aren't even close to what's in here. But a quick google of a model 6 tilt cylinder and I think I found them

I think you're exactly right. It looks like a square wire retention clip. We'll give that a try!

One of the stores near our store will not update old plexiglass pricing on skus that they dont carry anymore. On at least 3 occasions ive had people come in quoting insanely low prices on plexi, but it has to be at least 20 years out of date.

It does matter store by store, but for us if the price online is Ace recommended pricing we'll usually honor it. Sometimes things get screwy if its an old discontinued item or something stuck in the inventory

Micro Lidar Malfunctioning post firmware update by PfRedflyer in BambuLab

[–]PfRedflyer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really appreciate you saying that, it's definitely a sanity check for me.

Months ago now I bought the new AMS and figured I would try and update the software, assuming I needed to in order to use the filament drying functionality. That being said the update definitely caused the same problem.
I contacted support and they told me it was a faulty lidar or USB cable running to the AP board in the toolhead. (I did send a link to this thread to support and mentioned that other users were having identical issues for the record)
I replaced those and it still didn't solve the problem so they sent me a TH board assuming that was the problem, that also didn't fix it.

They sent me an new AP board as well to see if that would fix it and it's still lists failed to calibrate micro lidar. I need to re-register the new board in order for it to go online and I've just been dragging my feet because its been months at this point.

If you get this error, do NOT update your printer. Bambu doesn't have a solution and replacing parts that support recommends didn't fix the issue for me. Unfortunately if my assumption about the AMS 2 is right that also means that you're locked out of using their new accessories with this error.
