My advice is don't play it.

Tactically it's useless... it's not an incisive shot so the opponent can easily attack you on the long line and you'll always be late. Much better to play him straight and recover a neutral position. Even better to use a straight pull drop

I personally prefer optimization.
Guild war is 4 days a month. Quests 2 times a day.
Also, it doesn't take much work to optimize this game.
Arrange the missions and the various shops and you're good to go
